It seemed like Aion was easier to play around with, to put it that way. Adam was getting mixed feelings from both sides which made the whole deal that he had planned in his head more difficult. For now, he was going to take whatever path was going to let him stick to the two. The easy way would be the edge of a cliff.
“Come on, it’s just,” he stuttered subtly, the happy glint that had been apparent in his eyes faltered but didn’t expire. “I am calm.”
The pool cue lay on top of his bag and his hands were in front of his body while he held his own finger when he talked.
“I took the risk and the Lord let me live. You’re welcome, y’know. I just care about my friends and now we know a whole lot more about each other. Are we good?”
He pouted.
“I’m a little scared of my attackers coming back.”

Aion was surprised by how Amos seemed to be trying to defend him more. He was a bit stunned that Amos didn't think that he was a shitty person either. How could he not tho? Aion didn't really have the greatest reputation at school due to his past of being a bullying jerk. He had tried to make amends with most of his targets, but not a lot of them were that forgiving. He never used his brother's death as an excuse for his horrid behaviour and actions.
Maybe Amos saw something different about him. He wasn't sure what to think about that. He definitely had to talk to him about that in privacy. He didn't want Adam to embarrass them again.
He glanced at Amos slowly and he chuckled a little, mulling over his uncertain thoughts that were swirling around in his tired mind. "Huh...." He said, blinking a few times in disbelief. "Uh, okay then."
Aion then stared at Adam who was saying whatever he could and Aion felt himself sighing softly. He really needed to get out of this church. It was feeling a bit stuffy and he could like some fresh air. Even if it was cold outside. It was better than feeling trapped in this place. Why did he think that he was trapped? He didn't know honestly.
Aion scoffed. "Friends, right. We're not really your friends, Adam, but if you want to believe that.... Then fine. Just don't try to kiss me again. That was really embarrassing." He commented quietly and he get up to his feet, wobbling a little and he let out a shaky breath. "...We're good... for now. Just behave and be a good boy if you want to stay with us. Also, shit. If you think there is a possibility that your attackers will come here, we should really think about leaving this place..." He glanced at Amos for confirmation. "Right, Amos?"

Aion and Adam talked some more to each other, but Amos stayed quiet. He had said what he said, and that was all he had to say to Adam. Amos did not like the guy, and the more Adam talked, the less and less Amos liked him. The less he trusted him.
That was not usual for Amos; he liked to believe most people had some good in them, but Adam's been... shifty. Almost since he got here. But it was not like they could chuck the guy out and hope for the best, as it seems he's intent on sticking with them.
"Right." 'Twas all Amos had to say as he kept his eyes on Adam. He found the whole thing suspicious.
Why was he now bringing up his attackers? They hadn't shown up through the whole night, and Amos knew: he'd kept one eye open on that door for most of it. Was he trying to guilt them or something? Maybe he's angry Amos did not want to kiss him?
Amos did not have to kiss him, did he?
Amos looked up at the ceiling, eyes blinking and his legs slightly faint from the sight, his right hand on the pew for support.
They were supposed to do something for Perante and Chester, get to the station, and do some stuff there. They've spent enough time here, and as much as he would not like Adam tagging along for that part, he did not give them a choice.
They had to get out of here.
"We've been here too long."
He stepped over to their bags and picked up his and Aion's. Slinging the strap of his around his shoulder and holding Aion's over to him.
"C'mon buddy, let's get out of here."
Amos turned his head to Adam before saying:
"And I guess you too."
Amos would have to help Aion through this trip; he had been the one to do it so far, and Amos did not trust Adam to do it without some caveat to it. Amos stepped over to him as he fussed with his bag. Someone had to do it, and it might as well be him.

Adam’s hands relaxed, his mind didn’t.
“Thanks for letting me tag along!"
He picked up his own bag and weapon carefully the moment Amos handled Aion's. When their eyes met, he showed a careless smile. He wanted to add a wink to it but thought that might be too much. It could have gone two or three ways, but the fourth was alright too. Adam tugged on his collar when he adjusted his jacket, zipping it all the way up.
"I'll be a good boy."

Aion was relieved to get out of the church as he was starting to feel a bit trapped and overwhelmed. He wasn't sure how he was supposed to be feeling now. But he still found himself staying closer to Amos than to Adam and he took his own bag with a quiet "thanks" escaping his lips. Ugh. His heart was getting all fluttery and his stomach was feeling a bit funny. What the heck was wrong with him?!
It had only been a few days but, god. He felt like a fucking idiot.
"Yes, let's get out of this joint."
He glanced at Adam when he made the good boy comment, feeling himself getting a bit flustered.
"I-Idiot...!" He muttered under his breath and he rushed to follow after Amos like an obedient puppy.
