((Chester Bissette continued from Just a Fitting))

The Bissette’s Mercedes-Benz SUV came to a halt. The door opened up and Chester came out, quickly eyeballing the area as he wiped the tears from his face. He rummages around the trunk, pulling out the plastic bag as well as the shovel, immediately slamming the trunk shut before rushing down across the park.

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

After getting far enough, he tossed the trashbag onto the ground and began to use the shovel to dig up the loose dirt. Didn’t have to be six feet deep, just enough to bury it and never let it see the sun again.

Just bury this and never wear anything like this again, simple.

Ok, maybe Emma was a centimeter from blowing her temper out, but you can't give her shit for trying her best at that test and giving her the rude answer that she scored a C+. It was a bad school day. Emma didn't went straight home after school. Instead, she needed some fresh air. She can't get herself some more pot, because her dads will know that she came home high. Her best bet was to cruise another downtown, hang at the community center a bit, head over to the record store to see the latest hits, then get some better peace and quiet.

Maybe it was a bad idea to be out at the Malone Circle Park this late. Her friends hang here, but she's at a place where someone got murdered. No one knew the true details than that a homicide happened in this playground. She didn't want to ask around on it. Especially from that lunatic Mortimer. After the Final Destination Bloodlines teaser came out, he kept freaking her out on not wearing septum piercings. This tattoo shop that she knew was probably going to go out of business soon, but maybe it's an exaggeration.

Emma did have a joint on her, but she didn't want to smoke. She needed a clear head.

She sat at a bunch, overlooking the old playground equipment, though she thought something happening by the curb.

Emma glanced over and...

Does her eyes deceive her?

Does that guy have a shovel?

She didn't get a good look at the young man, but it looked like he was trying to bury something.

She can't be scared. She can take this guy on, if he pulled something on her, but she was curious on what he was up to. He might have a body in his car trunk. She can't snitch to the cops, unless her dads told her to.

Emma got up from the bench to see what the deal was, but then she started to make out on who the guy was.

"...Chester?" Emma said, almost confused at what he was doing.

Please tell me you didn't run over a girl, Chester...

Bissette is snapped out of his thoughts by someone calling him by name, his head craning over to look at the person. His eyes were clearly red from crying, and he seemed surprised someone was here. Not just someone: Emma. Miss “Almost Cracked her Skull on a Counter” Drakenberg-West.

He paused. He glanced down at the trash bag, then at his shovel. Then at her. Bag. Shovel. Her.

He then nodded slightly, looking over as he was clearly out of breath “This…this ain’t a body. I know it looks like it. But it’s not….it’s not.”

The hell happened to Chester?

His eyes were red. Not from being high, but he was crying? Was his folks at home giving him shit?

Emma watched his eyes dart around to his trash bag, his shovel, and to her.

She looked at the trash bag that was on the ground and looked at Chester. There wasn't any blood on the bag, but just to be safe...

"What's in the bag, though? You're not burying some illegal shit, are you?"

If it was drugs in that bag, she can keep her mouth shut, but a lot of shit can go down if he did have drugs in there.

Bissette’s heard felt a small buzzing as his chest tightened. Fuck. God fucking damn it, she’ll start blabbing to everyone if she sees this. She’s gonna humiliate him, he knows it.

“Y-You don’t need to know why I’m here, just-just get outta here.” He says defensively, clearly attempting to look angered but clearly desperate as he attempted to kick the back to behind him “I’m not doing anything! Just go, okay?!”

Oh jeez, she really fired him up. This wasn't going to go well.

Emma threw her hands up to try to calm him down.

"Chester, relax! I didn't say shit about what happened at Marino's place! Please don't tell me that you didn't join some MS-13 gang or something! I will keep my mouth shut, but I need to know what happened." Emma hoped that her talking can get Chester to ease up. Worst case scenario, Chester might bludgeon her to death with that shovel. She should've called Heather or Mitch to hang with her.

Bissette stepped back a little, realizing this looked really bad.

He glanced down at the bag, clearly uncomfortable before tossing the shovel to the side and kicking the bag to Emma “Fine, if you wanna so bad, here!”

He turned away, crossing his arms as he turned his back to Emma, chewing the inside of his mouth.

Chester kicked the trash bag over to Emma. Whatever it was, it didn't let out blood or powder or anything. She could tell that Chester was watching her, but when she opened up the bag, she was dumbfounded.

A dress?

Bright and purple. In a floral design. Emma pulled out the sleeve from the bag, examining the outfit. It didn't have blood dried on it, but why was Chester trying to bury a dress?

"A dress? What did you do? You shoplifted it or something?" Emma raised an eyebrow at him. All of this trouble to bury a single dress into the dirt?

Bissette felt a wave of humiliation in his body as he shook his head, a visible shade of red on his face. He immediately pulled out his wallet and fished out about 400 dollars, shoving it in Emma’s face.

“H-Here, just take it for god sake. Take the money, walk away. And never bring this up again.” He held it out to her, his arm practically trembling as he was failing to keep tears from his face, tilting his head towards the ground.

Emma figured that Chester just shoplifted a dress, end of story. But then suddenly, he pulls out his wallet to shove a bunch of Benjamin Franklins into her face, while he was crying.

"Hang on! I don't want the fucking money! What the hell is going on! Is someone blackmailing you?" Emma reached out to him to try to comfort him. "What's even with the dress?"

Bisette’s face contorted into an angered and frustrated expression, waving the cash in her face before tossing it up in the air. What is with her?” Why is she trying to humiliate him more?!

“God damn it! Just take the money, what else do you want?! You want the dress?! Fucking take it, West! You’d look a hundred times than I ever did with it on-”

He stops. Shit.

He immediately turned away, folding his arms across his chest as he went silent, tilting his head down and his back to Emma.

"Chester, varför måste du bete dig som en jävla-" (Chester, why do you have to act like a damn-).

Emma was close to losing her temper, until Chester suddenly mentioned that trying the dress on.

"...Wha-" Emma was confused at this, until Chester immediately turned his back to her.

The hell is Chester talking about- aw shit.

Ok, no wonder that Chester was throwing and shoving money into Emma's face to keep quiet.

Oh boy...

Emma went quiet as well.

She knew Chester Bissette as the fitness bro who smoked weed to spite Ronald Reagan. This was a completely different side of him.

"You... you wanna... sit down on the ground? Talk it over?" Emma rested a hand on his shoulder. Now, she gotta hold off and hope her emotions don't get the best of her.

Bissette tensed up a little as he felt her hand on his shoulder. He glanced at her hand then away, sniffling a bit.

Talk? Why does everyone wanna talk to me all of a sudden?

He was silent for a moment, giving a slightly nod and sniffle before feeling around in his pockets, trying to find something “Come on…one day a year I don’t have my weed.”

He wiped his face as he half-hazardously sat on the grass.

Chester didn't have to worry about having no weed. Mostly because Chekhov's gun existed in the form of the joint that Emma had in her pocket.

She held it out for Chester, if he needed it.

"I don't blame you for needing a drag. It's my blessing and a curse in needing a quick get-calm pill." Emma commented to him, while she sat down next to him.

Bissette glanced at the joint, hesitating before taking it. He lights it up, taking a deep inhale.

He felt himself get a little calmer just with breathing in the smoke. It was almost comforting at this point. He leaned back, looking up at the sky for a second.

“….thanks .” He mutters, not wanting to look her in the eyes as he wipes away a tear and glances at the open hole in the dirt.
