Julien Leblanc is a nice, calm guy who's just looking to make some friends and enjoy what life can offer him at the end of the day; he doesn't really have a social standing to speak of and doesn't have much interest in changing that, but he's still looking to spread his wings some. Julien takes a fairly laid-back attitude to things, preferring to let others take the spotlight in conversations and willing to interact and chill out with just about anybody without judgement, especially if they share his interests, so long as he doesn't feel anything condescending being sent his way. He does fairly well academically, generally sitting with Bs and As, and likes taking care of himself, although he's divided regarding what road he wants to travel in the future and often avoids discussing the matter.
His most prevalent hobbies are rock climbing, exercise, video games (with a preference for handhelds and PCs as platforms) and an enjoyment of music from the 50s-80s period. Poker (though he prefers blackjack), Magic: the Gathering, the occasional session of practice shooting and classic movies and TV shows are more secondary interests. Julien isn't averse to watching anime, although he doesn't default to it and hasn't seen many series owing to having particular tastes.
