Name: Jane Kara Gordan
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Grade: Senior
School: Aurora High School
Hobbies and Interests: Animals, writing, reading, recreational exercise.

Appearance: Jane stands tall at an even 6'0, weighing in at 150 lbs. Tanned skin, slender, Jane is the picture of health. She is in great physical shape due to her own rigid work-out routine. Jane manages to go just past wiry, to the point that her muscles are visible past tone. Even though she is sporting a healthy bust, D cup at least, it's often disguised by her constant slouch. Attractive, but is most often possessing a near often scowl that can disguise that fact. Her black hair, when seen from the front, is short, almost pixie cut-ish, with her choppy and uneven bangs just reaching her thin, narrow eyebrows. From behind, one can see that her hair is tied into a long tight braid, bound with a long black strip of cloth, that reaches the small of her back, ending in a tuft of hair peeking out from beneath the cloth binding. Brown eyes peek out from just underneath her bangs. Her face is diamond-shaped, with a firm, almost masculine jawline. A near-constant frown can often be seen creasing her full lips. When she isn't glaring or scowling, she possess a smile that has been described as dazzling, complete with dimples and flawless white teeth.

Jane's taste in clothing runs the gamut from simple to practical, with a tendency towards ease of movement than any real inclination toward fashion. Most often, her outfit consists of a plain t-shirt, ordinary blue jeans, and running shoes. Her exercise outfit is similar, only swapping out the jeans for black track pants. When the weather outside is cold, she includes a black duster coat that just reaches her ankles, obviously worn-in and well-loved.

Biography: Richard and Martha Gordan met each other at an engineers' conference in New York, June of 1989. Richard was 32 going on 33, and Martha at the relatively young age of 22. For Martha, it was love at first sight. At the time, Richard was already an establish engineer in the field and Martha would view him with some measure of awe. Richard viewed her as another notch on his bed post. Not entirely unaware of his womanizing nature, Martha viewed it as challenge. In the end, Martha had her way and they were married six months later. Friends and family were all too ready to chime in with a forecast of a short marriage, but stubborn pigheadedness on the part of both parties saw the marriage through that initial squall and into the doldrums the marriage would mostly occupy from that point on, After a time, their relationship was more akin to roommates than husband and wife.

This would be the house that Jane would be born into on July 8th, 1994. The birth of their daughter would briefly bring Richard and Martha closer together, but they would once again drift apart a few years later. While they would continue to raise and care for their daughter, nothing ever came close to the definition of nurture. They were often more occupied with work to spend any substantial amount of time with Jane.

As such, Jane could almost be said to raise herself. When her parents weren't working, they pursued whatever interest they had outside work. Jane was treated as little more than an afterthought or a burden. As such, her relationship with her parents could be considered distant at best. Of the two, Jane was closer to her mother. This was still a relative term. Her mother considered Jane at best a distraction and at worst a hindrance. This was still better than her father who would only regard Jane with cold and complete indifference. Often, Jane thought he considered her a disappointment. As evidence suggested, she wasn't far off, especially as Jane grew older and her developing interests brought her further from her fathers foot steps. While he never really considered Jane anything but a drain, her interest in reading and writing only validated his lack of interest in her growth. As such, the only time spent with her parents was with her mother, and that was strained at best. There were the occasional moments of tenderness, but they were few and far between.

Growing up, Jane's only real companion was a black Labrador retriever her parents had bought as means of occupying their daughter, therefor keeping her out of their hair. It was bought on the condition that, outside buying food, Jane took care of everything the dog required. Despite the possibility that that condition might intimidate a growing child, Jane lept into action, as it were. She never hesitated to lavish her dog with love and attention. She often considered her dog her only friend in the world. This would carry over to her time in school. Jane would take her quiet and unobtrusive personality she cultivated at home to middle school every day. Jane was always a shy girl, with no social life to speak of and no real friends. This went hand in hand with bullying she would have to deal with on a daily basis.

Ignored at home and bullied at school, Jane grew up cynical. Eventually outgrowing her quiet demeanor, she became abrasive and irritable, with a hair-trigger temper fueled by pent-up anger and frustration, with a tendency to speak her mind no matter what it concerned. She often acted out and got into trouble with the sole intent to get attention at home. Her rationale was that if her parents would ignore her and push her away, she would just have to do things they couldn't ignore, couldn't solve with indifference. While not exactly helping her home life, it would give her a reputation that would follow her through school. To help give her something productive to focus on, Jane took up exercise and physical training. What started out as simple running turned into dabbling in a weight training class at school. That turned into a membership at a local gym. Jane viewed this as not only a way to work out some of that pent-up aggression, but to ensure that no one would bully her ever again.
Despite outward appearances, her trouble making attitude was little more than a persona. Underneath that coarse exterior, Jane is a sensitive girl who still maintains a secret love of reading and writing. Her grades in school fall along a B average, with that B reaching into A range in any class that involves creative writing. Most of all, Jane maintains a love of animals, all stemming from her beloved dog at home. Her dream is to work as a veterinarian, and she currently works as a an intern at a local veterinary clinic.

At school, Jane maintains a small circle of friends. She manages to dial back her normal volatile demeanor to reveal her true nature around those close to her. Jane is fiercely protective of her friends. This protection extends to anyone she see's being bullied, being driven on by flashbacks to her own experiences with bullying when she was younger. She uses her tough girl facade to keep people at arms length, unknowingly imitating her parents. While most of her outward behavior is exaggerated, she does have a fiery temper, but her impulse control isn't quite as poor as advertised. Her head-strong, stubborn nature is likewise not part of the act, one of the few things that she managed to pick up from her parents.

Advantages: Strong, physically fit and able. Creative, good at acting/masking what she's really thinking. Her reputation as a troublemaker could serve as an advantage in avoiding conflict.
Disadvantages: A small list of potential allies, and a large list of potential enemies. Her reputation could also leads to confrontations with people looking to settle old conflicts. On that note, her reputation as a fighter is mostly exaggerated. While knowing how to throw a basic punch, her repertoire doesn't extend far beyond that.
