The final vote is as follows.
Riki - 3 (MethodicalSlacker, Cactus, dmboogie)
She knew they'd pick her eventually.
Not because she'd done anything wrong, or because she deserved persecution. Simply because it figured, didn't it? Story of her life.
MOMOKO TOGAME had been through a lot, over the years. Fighting with her friends, watching one die, watching another fall into despair and become a witch, watching another become more and more distant and leave her. When the murders began, she'd reached out to her old friend, and all that had netted her was an opportunity to watch her die.
At least her other friends were safe. She'd sent them away from the city, where they couldn't be touched. She'd stayed alone, hoping to help bring the case to its conclusion.
The unfortunate flaw in that strategy was that no one was left to vouch for her.
She'd played big sister to many of the magical girls of the city at one time or another. She'd watched out for them, helped them from the shadows when they needed it, bought them lunch, introduced them to the Coordinator, helped them settle in, and none of that meant anything when paranoia ran so deep people could barely trust their closest friends. She was strong, she was well-connected, she must be guilty, she must be. Right?
She hoped they figured it out without her.
But hope, she thought, may already be lost.
DEAD:
MOMOKO TOGAME - VANILLA TOWNIE (Riki)
The day has ended. This thread is now closed.
In deference to how few people are remaining, the night phase will end in two days, on Tuesday, October 6th at 6 PM EST, or, for the sake of expediency, when all night actions have been submitted. No need to drag things out when the game is nearly over.
See you on the other side.

"Well, Fenris, the King of Gossip. We meet again."
The final two victims of the Kamihama murder spree lay dead.
IROHA TAMAKI, a newcomer to the city, searching desperately for any sign of her lost sister among the ruins of the city. Her desperation only grew as the friends she had made since arriving died one by one, with no sign of her sister, she wondered if she might already be dead, or if she might have gone far from the city already. She wondered if she would ever see her again. Her final thought, as she lay bleeding, was of her. Her sister, she would never learn, was safe, far gone from the city when the murders began. Her efforts had been wasted from the start.
FELICIA MITSUKI, the mercenary of magical girls, was a controversial presence in the city, loud and boisterous and just as often a danger to her allies as to the witches she so desperately fought. She was loyal to little but money and food, but her dedication to the cause of destroying witches was impossible to question. Despite the danger she refused to leave the city, her eyes burning with rage as she imagined letting witches ravage the city she loved. She died as she lived—in pitched battle with a witch, though her body was found abandoned. A witch had not absorbed it. A witch was not responsible. Not entirely.
The final two, the only magical girls left alive who had not fled the city or gone into hiding. They faced each other, openly. One serious, one smiling.
ORIKO MIKUNI wore a dark expression. She hadn't wanted this, not really. It was necessary, yes, for the preservation of the city, of the country, of mankind itself, that she destroy the magical girl who was one day fated to become a witch who destroyed the world. It was her sacred duty, her only purpose, and if she need kill three, five, ten magical girls who were innocent of any crime in the process, what of it? To save the world, wasn't any sacrifice worth it?
She had done it, in the end. That girl was dead, along with anyone else who might try to bring her crimes to life, who might attempt to persecute her for them. Her beloved Kirika was dead. But she would move on. But for the final obstacle before her.
SASA YUUKI smiled, swayed. A monster here before her. She had the unholy ability to control the witches themselves, to bend them to her will. She didn't need to kill with her own hands, but she collected the bodies herself, brought them into the real world so that her work would not go unappreciated. She didn't have such lofty aims as Oriko, no sacred purpose; she simply saw Kamihama City and saw a playground. Witches and magical girls everywhere, ripe for destruction.
All she cared about was her own superiority. To that end, she would destroy everything that threatened her dominance. And she would enjoy every second of it.
Their battle was inevitable. Sasa drew Oriko into the labyrinth of her strongest witch, and she knew her destruction was inevitable. Even if she destroyed this witch, she had more. Tens. Hundreds.
There was no escape.
There was no escape, except.
Sasa herself had little power except for her capacity for control. Oriko knew this, and with the power of a witch nipping at her heels, she flew, sharp pains stabbing at her back, and landed a fatal blow on the killer herself.
Her own wounds were fatal, she knew.
Her body would fade into this witch's labyrinth forever, without Sasa to save it, she knew.
She hadn't wanted to die. But at least she got her revenge, at the last moment. If she had to lose, at least no one would win.
Or so she thought.
Fatally wounded, Sasa stared at the sky, a grin carving over her features.
Oriko was dead. They were all dead. Did it matter, if she died, too, as long as she died last?
"I win."
She whispered, and she disappeared.
The last trace of magic in Kamihama City.
DEAD:
IROHA TAMAKI - VANILLA TOWNIE (KamiKaze)
FELICIA MITSUKI - VANILLA TOWNIE (MethodicalSlacker)
ORIKO MIKUNI - 1X BULLETPROOF MAFIA LEADER (dmboogie)
SASA YUUKI - 1X BULLETPROOF SERIAL KILLER (Cactus)
All have perished. Kamihama City lays silent, at least until those who have fled slowly return to make sense of the violence that befell the city.
As the Serial Killer's win condition allows victory if everyone, including them, is killed, the only winner is Sasa Yuuki (Cactus). Congratulations, from the afterlife.
To take off my Kyubey hat: thank y'all for the game! It's been a crazy one. I'll get a fallout thread up hopefully sometime tonight.
