V8 Relationship Thread

If any of your children want to have relationships with any of my children, please let me know! I will be adding more kids as I solidify their characters.


Sebastian Odegaard - Upper class. Deliberately eccentric and wild. Makes specific choices to brand himself in a particular way. Holds back his real personality behind a facade of whimsy. Underneath it all is a hyper-judgemental and selfish person who only cares about what they specifically get out of any situation or encounter. Knows how to play the social game well, and can drop the facade if deemed absolutely necessary to get what he wants. Is majorly involved in the Theatre program at school, always gunning for the lead. Takes dance classes 3x a week. Is big on fashion, even though hispwn personal tastes are just that, and also deliberately focused on selling his eccentricity. Had some fame at an early age as a child actor and model, but since has been more focussed on his Broadway dreams. Is happy to throw others under the bus to get ahead, and savvy enough to convince them he didn’t mean for it to happen. Is bisexual (though leans more towards men), and isn’t against using his sexuality to get what he wants.

Sebastian takes much from his Norweigen ancestry. He stands at a tall 6’3, with a fair complexion and almost platinum blonde straight, silky hair. His hair is worn at a medium length, going a bit past his shoulders when let down, although he usually ties it up in a messy bun unless he’s dressing up. He has a strong, square jawline, and sharp facial features standing out on his long face. His cheekbones are prominent and high on his face, with a small upturned snub nose above moderately thin lips and a wide mouth.Under those lips sits a row of perfectly straight, bright white teeth, thanks to braces at a young age and constant dental care. His ears are of relative size to his face, and have a bit of an outward turn. His large, round eyes are set a bit wide on his face, with long lashes that make their blue-green hue shine brightly. His brows are always sculpted thinly and set rather high above his eyes. Sebastian had a small beauty mark on his forehead just above his left eye. As far as facial hair goes, Sebastian makes sure to shave and buzz away any and all hair that sprouts below his hairline away.

Sebastian’s body is kept in reasonably good shape, though he couldn’t hold a candle to his more athletically-inclined peers. His dance classes and healthy diet keep his weight between 185 and 190, although his ideal would be somewhere around 175. Not being a fan of body hair, Sebastian keeps most everything on his body waxed, including under his arms and in more private areas, only allowing the light wisps of blonde hairs to remain on his legs. His tall and thin frame has just the right amount of lean muscle so that he doesn’t look frail, and thanks to his experience in dance he is very flexible.

As far as clothing goes, Sebastian has a rather odd sense of personal fashion, consisting of odd pairings of design with heavy influences from other cultures. Tending towards the more comfortable and casual in his day to day life, he can often be seen in a variety of skinny-cut pants and fashion tees, usually paired with an eccentric vest or jacket. On the trip, Sebastian wears a pair of black cigarette pants with textured white stripes that cuff about a quarter of the way up his calf. Tucked in tight and flat to his body is a long sleeved black and white rose print button down lapel shirt. Atop this is a burgundy thick knit oversized hooded cardigan that comes down to his knees. On his feet are a pair of black leather heeled chelsea boots with a black sole and zippers running up the insides. A pair of soft pink high socks connects them to his pants. The only jewelry he had on is a silver ring on the middle finger of his left hand and a pair of diamond studs in his ears.

Chanel Andersson-Joseph - Mixed-race, upper class. Known to have been a mean girl for most of her life, and currently trying to change her own narrative. Had a big falling out with the popular crowd the year before, and is now trying to make her way back to the top of the social ladder as fast as she can. Rebanded herself as a social justice warrior, and has become very active in any movement she can tie herself to, nd/or use to make herself look good. Including, but not limited to, Black Lives Matter, #MeToo, Defund the Police, and so on. All these things are posted frequently on Instagram, Chanel herself attempting to become an influencer with mild success. Is always looking for allies and people to attach herself to to make herself look better or boost herself up the ladder. Can be elitist and snide, but is doing her best to keep that under wraps to enforce her newfound ‘for the oppressed’ narrative. Below the surface though she boils with rage at the idea of having to crawl amongst the dredges before the returns to what she considers her rightful place at the top of the social ladder. Still has a hard time keeping her snapbacks and shady comments to herself, but tries to play them off as jokes.

Chanel is mixed race, being of Caribbean and European Descent. As such, her features are a mixed bag of the two cultures. Chanel has a darker skin tone, her Caribbean roots shining through, but still a lighter shade than her mother’s, giving her a nice caramel coloring. Chanel’s face is diamond shaped, with sharp cheekbones and a strong jawline and chin. Her hazel eyes are wide set and downturned, making room for the wide bridge of her snub nose. She also has naturally long lashes, and keeps her brows razor thin and arched to give herself a ferocious look. Chanel has full wide lips, and shiny white, orthodontist perfected teeth with small gums. Her ears are on the smaller side, so she consistently wears large hanging earrings to hide that detail. Chanel’s hair is naturally ultra-curly and thick, which she dislikes, so she keeps her hair cut short and tight and sews in natural virgin texture brazillian weave so she can style it how she wants. On the trip, her current style is a dark brown bob afro with big loose curls. Chanel also never leaves the house without a fully beat face, contoured to soften her jawline and nose, while accentuating her cheekbones and making her eyes look bigger.

Chanel stands at 5’8 and weighs 139 pounds. Chanel keeps in good shape, regularly attending spin and pilates classes and practicing yoga daily. Because of this, she has a strong core and thick, strong thighs. She works especially hard on maintaining her butt, her proudest feature. Chanel’s legs are longer than her torso, so she tends to look taller than she is. Any body hair she may have is quickly waxed away, bikini areas and all. Chanel has long slender fingers and hands, and always has her nails designed and long. For the trip, her nails are a bright baby blue, with the middle and ring of each hand encrusted with rhinestones at the cuticle, and each nail sharpened to a point.

Style-wise, Chanel usually trends towards the preppy-but-sexy, with pleated skirts and form-fitted sweaters and blouses. Recently, she’s also been politicising herlook a bit, adding in BLM apparel and the like to push her newfound causes. On the trip, Chanel wears a tight white tee with “Black Lives Matter” printed on the front, tucked into a black knee-length windowpane skirt and Thigh-high black suede boots with a stiletto heel. Over the shirt, she wears a baby blue peacoat unbuttoned so that the shirt is easily and readily seen. Her lips are wine-colored for the trip, with a bit of burgundy added to her eye highlight to match. Jewelry-wise, Chanel has on a chunky gold and diamond bracelet on her right wrist, a thick chain necklace with Amber colored beads hanging from it, and dangling infinity earring with white gold and small diamonds encrusted.

Marc Hines - Lower-Middle Class. Marc comes from a big family, as the middle of 6 kids. Most of his clothes are hand-me-downs or thrift buys. He doesn’t take much stock in his appearance, looking disheveled most of the time. Marc tries to be as cordial as he can, but has a lot of underlying anger issues and a short fuse. He is very anti-conflict however, and instead of getting in people’s faces and yelling or fighting, instead he tends to run off and stew in his anger and hold grudges for a long time. Marc has little time for foolishness and stupidity, preferring to avoid most of his classmates that he deems mentally inept. He sees little value in friendships and camaraderie, focusing instead on doing as well as he can in school so he can escape from Salem, where he’s lived all his life. The few he does allow himself to be in the company of share his focus on schoolwork and intellegence. Marc looks down on his peers and their, in his mind, shallow and pointless values. Athletics, Clubs, social gatherings and the like are of complete disinterest to him. Marc has a laser-focus on getting the hell out of Salem and away from his family as soon as possible. However, for all his rudeness and hostility towards others, he has a big soft spot for animals, especially dogs. People who can be cruel to animals are trash in his eyes. People who love and take good care of animals get a pass from him.

[+] Appearance

Marc, even in his own words, is the epitome of an average white boy. Marc is a bit on the paler side, due to not really being a part of many outdoor activities and hardly getting much sun exposure. Mark has an oval-shaped face, with a soft jawline and a cleft chin. Marc also has a very prominent Adam’s apple with a long neck. Marc’s eyes are close-set, almond shaped, and a dull dark brown. Over his eyes are a pair of very generic-looking glasses with a moderately thick lens, and black plastic frames. Behind the lenses, his eyes are almost constantly screwed up in a squint, as the prescription on his lenses are horrendously out of date. Above his eyes he has two thick bushy brows that have never been taken much care of, however there is no risk of unibrow. Atop his head is a messy clump of almost ink-black wavy hair, probably a haircut or two past due, and knotted up and messy from lack of care to brush and/or style it in any way. Marc also has large ears that stick out from the side of his head a bit, but usually this is hidden in his mop of hair. His nose is small and upturned with flared nostrils. Marc has thin lips that almost always are scowling, but on the rare occasion that he smiles you can see that both his cheeks are dimpled.

Marc stands at the rather average 5’9, and is quite underweight for his height at 112 pounds. Because of this, it’s very easy to see his ribcage when he’s shirtless, and his collar bones stick out, both of which he finds embarrassing. Marc doesn’t have much body hair to speak of, except in the normal places like his legs, crotch and under his arms, and a small spattering of wiry hairs in the middle of his chest. Not being a very physically active person, Marc’s body is very lanky, and he almost looks fragile. This isn’t helped at all by his wardrobe.

Marc’s family is on a strict budget, meaning most of what he wears has been worn by someone else before him. It’s very rare that he ever receives an article of clothing that is brand new besides undergarments and socks. As such, he doesn’t exactly have a style of his own. Not that he cares much at all what he wears in the first place. Most of his wardrobe consists of faded tee shirts, hoodies with busted zippers and hand-sewn repairs, jeans that have been patched and repatched over and over again and shoes that have almost had their soles walked out. For the trip, his outfit includes a worn out pair of black converse, a pair of faded black jeans that are both too tight in one place and too loose in another, a white graphic tee so faded it’s hard to tell what it originally marketed or said, and a pullover burgundy hoodie that’s two sizes too big for him and comes down almost to his knees.

Yoona Lee - Middle Class. Comes from a very traditional Korean family. Despite this, she finds herself horribly disconnected with her culture. Her parents preach studiousness and demurity, but Yoona feels afire inside her that constantly threatens to leak out and show itself to the world. Eventually this made her turn to music, specifically the drums. The loudness and rawness shattered her normal, quiet and obedient home life, and brought the rebel and fire out of her. Loves Punk and heavy metal music the most, feeling it speaks to her inner wanna-be individual. Also coming to grasp with the fact that she’s not all that interested in boys, and very interested in other girls. Is sometimes a bit of a mess because she’s constantly flip-flopping between pretending to be the perfect korean daughter at home, and living her punk/metal rebel fantasy at school and with her friends. Doesn’t tend to like bullies or people who act above or better than others. Tends to not keep her thoughts to herself for better or worse (usually worse). Desperately wants to be in a band, but unsure how far she can push her double life.

Sebastian: Oh No someone Manipulative! Um. Ren’s, like, probably found him cool? Like I see them wanting to be his friend for no reason other than his eccentricity and also his childhood stardom, not for any selfish reasons or anything they just find him Really Really cool… Though I also see them maybe being used once or twice, maybe being warned against him, and possibly backing off from their unintentional love-bombing and moving on to their next platonic-crush. Aside from that, Betty’s also popular (though entirely because of her childhood friends) and is super into fashion (especially making her own clothes) so there’s that. Depending on the “using his sexuality to get what he wants,” I don’t know exactly what he wants, I just know that I want to collect as many exes for Isaiah as I (and his fragile little heart) can so maybe we can talkaboutit! ‘Cause Issy is always looking for love

Chanel: I think We’ve talked about Chanel’s… fall from grace before so we already know one relationshit (I spelled relationship wrong by accident but like its probably a shitshow anyways so ill keep it like that.) Isaiah’s also in a decent amount of social-justice-oriented movements, doesn’t outwardly care about fakeness so maybe they talk? Gabrielle probably dislikes her and has made just a few snide comments (but nothing close to outright harassment or anything like that) accusing her of being fake. And I see Ren maybe being a bit of a sideline friend (because they’re everyone’s sideline friend) and now talk to her less, half because of the whole falling-out and half because they just lost interest

Marc: Isaiah’s a pretty academic student and a vegan who lives and works on a farm, so he probably has a pass on Marc.

I just realized that I will have to adjust a lotta relationships because several of my kids are very closely tied to other kids with a lotta friends but whatever!!!

I love most of these relations. Sebastian and Betty being Fashion friends is fun. Ren being one of the 'friends' he manipulates for his own benifit is also very fun. I'm not sure aout the Issy thing nessesarily because Sebastian really only dates people if doing so is part of the process of getting what he wants, or if it's a stepping stone to something else. we can discuss it tho!

Chanel being at least aquainted with Issy as a fellow SJW makes sense, and her finding Gabrielle equally distasteful also makes sense. Ren being a former friend who she still somewhat talks to but not anywhere near before could also be fun.

Marc would def find Isaiah to be one of the few people he can tolerate on a daily basis since he's academically-inclined and also has a connection with animals.

Eunice: She probably doesn't go to him and chat, but does know a lot about him and his history. Possibly taken in with his eccentric image and pretty looks, but that doesn't mean much to her other than a source of entertainment and another pretty boy to privately draw.
Alec: Dance Battle! Alec wouldn't necessarily say he'll win, but he'll look at Sebastian in the eye with a smile that says he most likely will. jk jk, but they should be familiar with each other with the dance classes, especially if it started when they were younger. Alec is nice and friendly and would try to get along with Sebastian, finding amusement with the whimsical fellow dancer he sees.
Ara: They're both in theatre and Ara has an interest in fashion, so they should have friendly chats on that front. Might not appreciate the fakeness and throwing people under the bus though, and wouldn't trust him at all ever again if he ever did that to her and would hold a grudge, regardless of him believably saying he didn't mean to.

Chanel
Eunice: Sees what she's doing and laughs at her for it. Snorts everytime she remembers the popular mean girl who has fallen so far as she looks at this social justice tryhard with a smug smile on her face.
Ara: Could she be one of Ara's middle school bullies? Or was just generally mean to her during that time? Because Ara will never forget it, and I imagine some nasty spats and glares during high school before Chanel's fallout with the popular crowd. After that and seeing her efforts to rebrand, Ara will be like Oh, is that so? Funny. That is so fucking funny. in unconcealed anger and disgust because she doesn't buy it and can't believe this asshole.

Sebastian being a friendly rival of sorts as a fellow dancer sounds awesome! I def think that maybe they even go to the same dance studio? I can 100% see them practicing together and maybe even collaberating on some dance stuff. Hell yes Dance Battle.
As for Seb/Eunice, I dont think he'd know her very well besides being in classes together. He is always happy to have fans though!
And yes! Ar and Sebastian should totally be friends as they're both theatre kids. I dont see him throwing a girl under the bus, as they wouldn't necessaril be in line for the same roles and such, so i feel ike they might have a pretty solid friendship.

As far as the Chanel connections with Eunice and Ara, having people who are happy to see her fall from grace and maybe who are happy t call her out on her bullshit. Most definetly would be the ind of girl to bully ara in middle school, so that could be a fun thing we could play on now that they're more n the same level and Chanel doesn't have the backup and standing she once had.

She hates Chanel. Deeply, fervently, forever. While she's not a snide person and wouldn't go back and forth, Betty D doesn't forgive and would very quietly Be Watching. She's more likely to inconvenience Chanel at every turn because she's a metaphorical "death from a thousand cuts" kind of girl. I'm sorry she's like this lol...

Brook's probably going to think something's off about him, bisexuality aside assuming it's public, since he's met people like Medea Parth. Outside of that, I don't think he would know Sebastion that much. If he somehow learns of his real personality, though, he's not going to like it one bit and actively avoid him whenever possible. Since Brook's also against the LGBTQ+ community, if Sebastion tries to use his sexuality on him for whatever reason, Brook's going to tell him to piss off (and likely call him a faggot in the process).

Lula: "He's weird, but in a...good kinda way?"

I can see Lula gossiping about Sebastion's eccentricity to her friends and being on good terms with him in general. Maybe he can be aware of her tendency to make quick friends with people who give things to her and manipulate her to do some favors for him?

Chanel
Brook: "Is this bitch serious?"

Yeah, Brook's definitely not going to like her stances on BLM, Defund The Police, and so on. Her snapbacks and shady comments aren't going to help matters, so I can see them disliking or hating each other.

Lula: "I don't care about your politics."

Lula's only going to care for politics or current events if it affects her or her family, so I could see Chanel not liking her for her apathy, assuming Chanel genuinely cares about the movements she's active in.

Marc:
Brook: I don't think that they would know each other all that much. Unless you have an idea, perhaps?

Lula: "He's poor like me, but..."

Another fellow poor person! While they are similar and can probably relate to each other, I don't think that she would like him. She's determined to stay and support her siblings and mother despite their strained relationship, while Sebastion is hellbent on leaving Salem and his family altogether. Likewise, I can see him not liking Lula for her being somewhat careless with her grades, not taking any upper level classes, and so on.

Yoona:
Brook: "Me and the drummer don't get along."

Given Brook's aforementioned views and his tendency to make fun of people and their misfortune, in addition to Yoona not keeping her thoughts to herself, they definitely aren't going to like each other.

Lula: Unless you have an idea for Lula, I doubt she and Yoona would know each other.
