The Amazing Race: SOTF Edition

Join us as we make numerous teams of two SOTF characters race around the world for our imaginary amusement!

[+] Submitting a Team

The process is simple! I'm looking for teams of two with pre-existing relationships, so submit two SOTF characters and their canon pre-existing relationship in this thread. These characters can be from Main or Mini, with the only bar of entry be that they be from a version that has either started or finished their game proper. Other restrictions apply, such as:

- If character/s belong to yourself, go ahead with whoever you feel like.
- If character/s belong to an active handler, ask permission before you do so.
- If character/s belong to a no longer active handler, only submit in good faith - to avoid any grey area with that, no characters from banned handlers will be allowed, but if you have good intentions otherwise then go right ahead.

At the start it will be one team per handler, but if we don't get enough teams or the gender balance is too lopsided in one direction, I'll take a second wave submissions of different gender makeup.

I'll be looking for between 10 to 14 teams - if we get 15 or more unique submissions from different handlers, the process of pruning will go down to public vote, so make sure to submit with the fact in mind there's a slim possibility of getting eliminated before the race even begins.

(If we get 15+ submissions but they're from second-wave submissions, I'll prune the cast myself so that everyone who's submitted a team is involved).

[+] How Will This Work

Every few days, I'll post fluff pertaining to the race/show (written by yours truly), and at the end I'll have a list of things to vote on in various ways - these can include:

- ordering teams in a list
- nominating a small handful of teams
- deciding between two options for either a single team or every team
- deciding where teams go in a public list
- etc

In this game, voting is optional rather than mandatory, so don't feel obligated to vote if you don't feel like it - voting will just end at the deadline regardless of the amount of votes received. Furthermore, there is no distinction between votes from someone who submitted a team and a member of the "public" so to speak, so you can vote even if you didn't submit a currently racing team.

Alba Reyes and Brendan Harte: The Just-Friends(?)

Relationship: Two friends from Arizona who may be more than just friends if they could actually take the time to talk and figure out what they want from their relationship. Maybe a worldwide trip for a reality show is what they need.

Henry Spencer and Min-jae Parker: Goth best friends with unexplored romantic feelings. There's probably a shipping term for their type of relationship.

Relationship: Two idiot bros who maybe sort of had feelings for each other but then they slept together and it wasn't supposed to be a huge thing, y'know, but it felt like a huge thing, and they're garbage at communication so it turned all weird and distant, and now it's been many months and they're both seeing other people, so it's the absolute perfect time for a gameshow road trip.

The gimmick: The Jocks/"friends" since middle school/one of the ringers as far as precasting choices goes but probably start fighting with each other by the halfway point

Relationship: "Anxiety meets comedy with these two dramatic friends!" Canonically, they were cool friends that became more than friends and then one of them guilt tripped the other into killing them. Will things turn out differently this time for these two pals on the prowl? Only time will tell!

In the case that I can't do Maxwell/Maxwell, Michelle White (Yugi) is joining the race with Morton Bishop (MurderWeasel) despite the fact that he's a massive jerk to her because she accidentally made him stab himself and she really wants to make that up to him.

submitting Ashanti Baker (you!!!) and Matias Juarez (me!!!) for TV3. Their pre-existing relationship is they're old acquaintances who know each other through their deaf siblings and stuff. Since this is based off sandbox stuff I assume they'd be fairly cordial if distant and I guess they'd only have signed up with each other out of convenience more than anything else.

Submitting Lori Martin and Madison Springer with Mimi's permission. They are FRIENDS and both on the cheer team. Lori thinks Madison is her BEST FRIEND. Madison feels a little less strongly.
