Appearance: Wendy is a short Caucasian girl, being 5’ 1”. She weighs 130 pounds, making her overweight, with a slightly chubby physique. Most of the extra fat goes to her belly and thighs. She is fair-skinned, with freckles on her cheeks, nose bridge, and shoulders. She has medium length brown hair that reaches just past her shoulders. She tends to keep her hair tied in a high ponytail. For facial features, she has a round face, wide blue eyes, a button nose, and rounded ears. She wears circular framed prescription glasses due to astigmatism.

Wendy tends to dress casually to feel comfortable. She owns t-shirts, slacks, and sweaters, most of which are pastel-colored. Some also feature characters and icons from her favorite shows and games. During cooler months, she tends to wear hoodies or heavy jackets. For footwear, she wears tennis shoes for all seasons, and sandals for warmer months.

On the day of the abduction, Wendy wore a light grey t-shirt with the cat character Pusheen on the front, a pink hoodie, khaki slacks, and pink sneakers with white laces.

Biography: Gwendolyn Kennedy, Wendy for short, was born the middle child to Reese and Lydia Kennedy on November 3rd, 2003. She has an older sister, Melinda, who is four years older and is an English major, as well as a younger sister, Cassidy, who is five years younger, and is a seventh grader. The family is relatively middle class, as Reese has a job as a dentist, while Lydia is a salesperson at a furniture store. Their family is Christian, and visits church on a bimonthly basis.

Growing up, Wendy was a quiet and shy child. In preschool, Wendy tended to prefer reading or drawing, as opposed to sports or physical activities, because she found them relaxing. During recess, Wendy would often play by herself, as she had trouble getting past her shyness to communicate with other children. This would continue on into elementary school, where she carried out her interest in reading and art. Most of her classmates at the time noted her as the quiet, nerdy girl, a reputation she desired to grow out of.

One of Wendy’s favorite pastimes since childhood was to watch cartoons and anime. Cartoons were appealing to Wendy for their bright colors and variety of styles. Wendy grew up on Disney films, classic and modern, enjoying their beautiful and fluid animation. She loved watching channels like Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon, enjoying their variety of programs. As she grew older, she began to grow out of certain shows, craving more mature content. She still has a soft spot for shows such as Steven Universe and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, however.

Aside from cartoons, Wendy was exposed to anime by Melinda, who introduced her to shows such as Sailor Moon, Dragonball, and Fruits Basket. She found the style of anime expressive, visually interesting, and colorful, enjoying it immensely. Wendy’s favorite genres in anime are romance, comedy, and slice of life, but she does enjoy action and horror from time to time. Wendy would also watch children’s anime such as Pokémon and Digimon, shows she liked for their monster designs and action-packed battles.

Because of her love of anime, Wendy began trying to emulate the style in her drawings. She started off tracing from art books, but later began developing her own style based on step by step instructions. Most of her influence comes from shojo manga, a genre she enjoys for the romantic and comedic elements.

Melinda also introduced Wendy to another one of her favorite interests, video games. Wendy started out playing games on her sister’s PlayStation 2, including franchises such as Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, and Sonic the Hedgehog, which she enjoyed for their cute looking characters and platforming elements. As she got older, Wendy’s taste in games expanded towards games such as Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy, and Fire Emblem, games she enjoyed for their action-oriented gameplay and story focus. Her most favorite genres include platformers, racing, fighting, and role playing games. Wendy finds video games to be a nice stress reliever, and a good way for her and her sisters to bond.

With her love of anime and video games, Wendy would also be introduced to visual novels. Some of her favorite anime were adapted from visual novels. Unfamiliar with the term, Wendy did some research out of curiosity. Visual novels were a unique style of game, which Wendy found similar to books their in their purest form, only with artwork and music. She found these types of games boring at first, but found a few titles with engaging narratives such as the When They Cry games Higurashi and Umineko, and titles from Type Moon such as Tsukihime and Fate/Stay Night. These games featured interesting characters, beautiful artwork, intricate stories, and well-implemented genre elements, be it horror or fantasy.

In developing and expanding on her art style, Wendy began to experiment with drawing animals. While researching lessons on how to draw animals, Wendy came across a how-to book on drawing anthropomorphic animal characters. She found the aesthetic of drawing human-like animals appealing, taking inspiration from characters from cartoon and game franchises such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Sonic the Hedgehog. She appreciates the challenge of drawing features unique from the human characters she typically draws.

In middle school, as Wendy was beginning to experience puberty, she began to notice her peers in a different light. She started to take note of the physical traits of not only male students, but also female students. She didn’t question her liking for her male classmates, but she also found her female classmates attractive and had developed crushes on them. Worried her parents may find this weird, Wendy turned to Melinda for advice on these feelings. Melinda suggested that perhaps Wendy was bisexual. After that, Wendy began to look into different sexualities, and came to the conclusion she was indeed bisexual. Though worried at first, Melinda assured her that there wasn't anything wrong with her, and that many of her own friends were members of the LGBTQA+ community, and were perfectly fine people. Over time, Wendy accepted this part of herself. However, Wendy hasn’t told her parents or Cassidy about her sexuality. This is due to her family being decently devout Christians, a religion that does not look fondly on homosexuality.

Wendy started to use social media around eighth grade. Inspired by Melinda, who has a decent presence on Facebook and Twitter, Wendy joined Twitter to share her artwork. In sharing her artwork, Wendy began to attract the attention of artists that were members of the furry fandom, with many calling her art cute. Curious, she began to look into the fandom, and was impressed with a lot of the artwork she found. She also found some risqué art, which she found surprisingly arousing. She also loved how accepting the fandom was of LGBTQA+ individuals. The positive attention motivates her to continue to improve her artwork. In fear of being judged by her family and friends, Wendy created a secondary account to interact with members that identify as furry, as well as share more erotic artwork. To go with this secondary account, Wendy has created a fursona, a pink bunny girl. Her main account, on the other hand, is generally used for posting her non-furry artwork, pictures with her family, animals, and foods she eats.

In high school, Wendy is someone who tends to blend in. However, she’s made strides to come out of her shell, by talking to other students who share her interests in cartoons, anime, and video games. She’s a member of the school’s anime club, which she enjoys attending, as it gives her chances to bond with other members and check out new anime. Academically, Wendy is an average student, with PE being her weakest subject. She enjoys art classes the most, as it gives her more ideas and methods to improve her personal artwork.

Wendy has an overall positive relationship with her family. She and Melinda are very close, still bonded over their love of anime. Melinda is supportive of LGBT rights, so Wendy often comes to her for advice on romance and to tell her about any crushes she has. Cassidy, on the other hand, only shares Wendy’s interest in video games and they often play games such as Super Smash Brothers and Mario Kart. Reese pushes Wendy to do her best in school, wishing for her to find a job as soon as she graduates. Meanwhile, Lydia encourages Wendy to pursue her interest in art, once having an interest herself. Wendy plans to come out to them as bisexual after graduation.

Advantages: Wendy’s stature makes her come off as non-threatening, so she could integrate into an alliance with little issue. She can also use her height to hide more easily from players she deems threatening.
Disadvantages: Wendy is out of shape, so her stamina is low. If she loses her prescription glasses, her vision will suffer. Her short height puts her at the mercy of taller, stronger players.

Designated Number: Student No. 015

Designated Weapon: Lantern shield

Conclusion: To be honest, I initially thought a lantern shield would have lights on it or something, so this revelation is a bit disappointing. Maybe I'll go back to Google and try looking up some of this art in the name of research. - Abby Soto
