Biography/Personality: Mr. Misel began his career after earning a degree in Secondary Education from the University of Michigan. Starting as a history teacher in Detroit, his strict, no-nonsense approach earned him a reputation for being ill-tempered. He pursued a Master's in Educational Leadership in Las Vegas, where he next brought his rigorous standards to Southwest Red Rock High School. Many students don't like him and call him "VP Mario" because of his resemblance to the video game character. There is a rumor that several years ago a student was suspended for playing the Mario theme as he walked by the school band. While this is unsubstantiated, Mr. Misel is dating the mother of a student who graduated two years ago, which students have various feelings about.
