Name: Sean Carver
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Grade: 12th
School: Bayview Secondary School
Hobbies and Interests: No notable hobbies. Aptitudes include Algebra, Trigonometry, and Calculus.

Appearance: His dark brown hair is short and straight, and he uses hair wax to give it a deliberately messy look. He wears a "chinstrap"-style beard that's an odd, almost reddish shade of brown. With thin, sharply downturned eyebrows, beady gray eyes, and a narrow, slightly oversized nose coupled with a small chin and small, thin-lipped mouth, he always looks like he's glaring at someone.

His skin is sallow and blotchy, and his palms are covered in tiny red circular scars that look suspiciously like cigarette burns. He never bothers with any skin care products, so his cheeks are pocked with numerous acne scars and other sorts of blemishes. The skin on his neck is often sporting some serious razor burn, so it's not uncommon to see him walking around with several large yellow welts on his neck. He's 5'11" in height and weighs in at approximately 175 pounds. He has no piercings or tattoos, and typically comes to school dressed in Dickies brand clothes with a wallet chain hanging off his belt and an old pair of Dunkman sneakers peeking out from under the baggy, dark-colored work pants he often wears.

Biography: The son of a waitress and a high school janitor, Sean Carver grew up in a blue collar household where pockets were always sealed tight and new things were sometimes hard to come by. From an early age Sean learned the importance of a good education, which was something his father drilled into his head over and over again whenever he was home. He wasn't very popular at school, as the kids often made fun of him for his cheap clothes and bad skin, and he soon learned to keep to himself whenever possible to avoid the chance of being provoked into a fight. Despite his best efforts, he was never more than a mediocre student who struggled in the areas of English and science, showing promise only in math, the one subject in his entire life that he's actually managed to excel in. He sees math as his ticket out of a lifetime spent living foot to mouth, and even as a kid he's been haunted by the image of being reduced to a plumber or a janitor like his dad, wasting his life cleaning up after other people and struggling to make ends meet while everyone else is living in comfort.

As he climbed from one grade level to another, he started to notice that his math classes began to get progressively harder and harder, and when he finally came to Bayview, his drive to succeed coupled with an ever increasing workload finally began to get to him. Throughout his entire Freshman year he struggled with unexplainable feelings of anxiety, and often complained to his parents that he felt like he was being overworked by the teachers. Then, after getting a report card that showed he'd made a B- in his last math class, Sean had something close to a mild panic attack. For the first time ever, he'd made less than an A in a math class, and the fact that he'd actually managed to fall behind in the one subject he was good at was too much for Sean to handle. For once, he'd been fallible, and he became convinced that he'd allowed it to happen by becoming too confident and too lax in his studies -- something that he's been spending the last three years assuring will never happen again. From that moment on, Sean became a veritable recluse both at home and school, spending hours on end doubleguessing every answer and overanalyzing every problem before stopping to read through his math textbook to stay one step ahead of his classmates.

Despite his father's repeated advice to not worry so much about his future, he continuously finds himself panicking over every single problem that comes his way. A bad grade on his latest Calculus test causes him to toss and turn at night, terrified at the possibility that his math skills are slipping; innocent bits of precautionary advice from a guidance counselor or teacher brings Sean to the brink of a nervous breakdown, as he spends hours and hours trying to remember if he's forgotten to fill out some vital piece of paperwork or missed a test that stands between him and graduation. His stress levels have gotten so high in the past few months that his parents have considered having him take medication to control his anxiety levels, but Sean continues to put them off, insisting that he simply needs to focus harder on his studies so that he won't forget anything important.

One week during his Junior year, Sean decided to try what he called an"all-nighter weekend", where he would stay awake all Friday and Saturday to study, drinking Red Bull and burning the palms of his hands with cigarettes whenever he began to feel drowsy. However, he never thought about how difficult it would be to treat and hide the ensuing wounds, and was soon rushed to the hospital by his parents when he came to them with his palms covered in open, festering blisters. His wounds caused a few eyebrows to be raised at the hospital, but Sean was able to lie his way out of any trouble that may have come his way by passing the whole situation off as a foolish attempt to impress his friends. He was soon discharged and sent home to his parents, only to find himself under increased scrutiny from the both of them. They've made a habit of checking his arms at least once a week for any strange marks, and his father even went so far as to remove Sean's bedroom door, a fact which Sean still hasn't stopped whining about to anyone who'll listen.

Sean always seems to be on edge, and is never satisfied with having anything shy of a straight "A" performance in all of his math classes. He's easily irritated and doesn't hesitate to let people know what it is that he doesn't like about them, which has only helped to further cement his unpopularity at Bayview. As if that weren't enough, he also has a habit for getting into arguments with people, especially his parents, whom he feels comfortable enough around to vent some of his school-related frustrations through instigated confrontations. Still, there's a few people have found him to be oddly likable when he's in one of his rare calm moods, and he does has a disarmingly self-depreciative sense of humor that some have counted as being one of his few redeeming qualities.

Advantages: Sean is determined to the point of obsession, and his single-minded pursuit of academic and financial success has left him willing to endure an incredible amount of mental strain to achieve his goals, whatever they may be. He might also find it relatively easy to emotionally distance himself from the students he'll have to kill in order to make it through SotF, since he's already alienated himself from pretty much everyone at school and in all likelihood won't find himself playing against anyone with whom he shares any sort of emotional connection.
Disadvantages: His blunt, forceful manner of speaking and quick temper have made him unpopular with some of Bayview's students, and his argumentative nature and stubborn attitude could damage his chances at forging an alliance with another player. The aforementioned "cigarette incident" shows that his determination can also lead him to make reckless decisions, and he's in poor physical condition, with low stamina and next to no muscle definition.
