Appearance: Olexia Kovacs isn't fat. Her face is slightly rounded with a small amount of baby fat and her stomach could be a little more toned, but, on most days, she would not describe herself as overweight. Standing at 5' 4", 138 lbs, Olexia, like most adolescent girls, wishes she were slightly slimmer and more graceful. Despite her personal misgivings, though, Olexia could be seen as rather attractive. And while she'd never be called "hot" or "sexy," she could easily be said to be "cute." Her blonde hair and bright green eyes would help her image, if they weren't countered by her pale skin and thick, black framed glasses. The combination gives her a demure, mousy appearance. Her generous bust and wide hips are offset by the little bit extra she carries around her midsection. Because of her self-consciousness, Olexia wears loose, dark clothing, which often serves to cover up as many of her assets as flaws.

Biography: Olexia was born, an only child, to Holly and Richard Kovacs. Much like her parents, Olexia is a rather unassuming person. Her father works as a construction foreman, while her mother is a librarian at Hamline University; neither of them have very outstanding social lives. From an early age, it was obvious that Olexia would follow a similar path, having few friends and developing dull hobbies. Her mother encouraged her to be read from a young age, helping the girl develop a deep fondness for literature. Her love of crossword puzzles comes from the evenings when her father would sit her on his lap and the two would solve the day's puzzle in the paper.

Extremely shy as a child, Olexia seemed to be on track to introversion, until she met her best friend, Edison Rossivitch. Edison rescued the meek girl from a bully and the two became fast friends. Nearly inseparable since the event, Olexia picked up some of Edison's more forceful and assertive personality traits. She is still the bookish, timid girl she always was, but has learned to be more at ease around people, as well as to take more risks.

Even with Edison's help, Olexia hasn't managed to shake all of her introvert tendencies, preferring comfortable quiet to raucous parties and events. She tends a small garden in the family's backyard and is happy to harvest small vegetables for her mother to include in her cooking. Despite disliking sports, Olexia applied for the position of equipment manager for the Bayview field hockey team, to be able to spend more time with her best friend. Both Olexia and the Rossivitches view each other as adopted family, with Olexia referring to Mr. and Mrs. Rossivitch as "Mom and Dad."

Recently, Olexia has developed a taste for manga, something she is extremely embarrassed about. She believes her social image has enough problems, without people thinking she's an anime nerd. She is self-conscious, almost constantly nitpicking her appearance, despite the reassurance of others.

Advantages: Olexia is very quiet and observant, helping her to keep track of many small details. She is rather well-read and somewhat bright, even if not especially so. She also has a protector in Edison Rossivitch, one of the more physically imposing female students.

Disadvantages: Olexia still has problems with large groups of people, when Edison isn't around. She's not very aggressive and is easy to steamroll into agreeing with people of more dominant personalities.
