Appearance: Jeremiah stands 6'0, is nearly as pale as a sheet, and weighs 140 lbs. He isn't particularly athletic, and he wears glasses. The glasses are to correct astigmatism in his right eye. He is right handed. He has dark brown hair that covers his ears. He enjoys keeping it unkempt; his hair naturally curls at the tips in the back, while it is wavy everywhere else. His hair isn't very long, just long enough to cover his ears, and sit comfortably above his glasses. He waxes the rest of his body. His eyes are green, and he doesn't appear to shave very often. He generally wears comfortable clothing; not too tight, but not hanging off of himself either. His favorite colors are black, red, and blue, so he usually wears those colors. Slacks and a t-shirt are usual for him, and he wears a black overshirt that was a gift from his older brother.

Biography: Jeremiah is an outsider among his peers. The people who he considered his friends were more like acquaintances; he never goes over to other people's houses to hang out or party. He would much rather listen to his friends talk about their lives than talk about his own. He doesn't consider himself important enough to these groups to interupt or interject his views, and he doesn't think that his life is particularly interesting in any case.

Jeremiah was born on January 10th, 1991, to Jessica Hawkins and Hamilton Hawkins in Austin, Texas. He is the middle born son, with an older brother and a younger brother, all four years apart. His mother divorced his father when he was 14, and he has lived with his father in Minnesota ever since. By that time, his older brother Samuel was in college and out of the house. His younger brother Robby came to live with his father a year after Jeremiah had already gone with him.

Jeremiah's father has worked as many things. Taxi cab driver, exterminator, police officer, paralegal, etc. Currently, Hamilton Hawkins is a corrections officer at a prison. Jer often watched CSI and the History channel with him before Robby came to live with them, and although they still watch it sometimes, it is not as often as before.

Jeremiah's relationship with his mother is non-existent. He never saw her as much of a parent, and her latest run-around with her new boyfriend just cemented in his belief that if you aren't loyal to your family and your kids, you should just die and stop dragging everyone else down with you. After the divorce, Jer has taken up doing all of the chores around his new home, even after Robby came up to Minnesota to live with them. This is probably because he doesn't want to be somebody who drags down the family like his mother.

His older brother Sam is currently going to college in his home state of Texas, at the University of Texas. Jeremiah hadn't kept in touch, even though they are interested in some of the same things. Jeremiah looked up to his bro; when Sam was in the band with a saxaphone, Jer wanted to play the trumpet. Sam even introduced him to the Anarchist Cookbook when he was younger - although, he had forgotten about it until he rediscovered it in high school. He submitted one of the "recipes" to his Health Ed. teacher for a project one time. He was in In School Suspension (ISS) for a week. Jeremiah always looked up to his older brother Sam. Which made it ultimately tragic when he died in a car crash on his way to his engineering job. It happened near the end of Jer's Senior year. That's to be the only reason Jeremiah is even going on the trip with people he barely knows - to get away from it all for a few days.

Robby is an annoying little brat to Jeremiah, but Jeremiah doesn't seem to mind. It taught him to be tolerant of other people's anger, since Robby flies off the handle regularly. Jeremiah finds Robby's temper tantrums amusing, and is surprised with the language children learn these days. They often play Xbox 360 with each other, even though Jeremiah seems to play old classics like the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, or Tetris. Not that he doesn't play newer games, he just plays old games more often, or games with old settings - like Bioshock.

Soon after moving to Minnesota, his father had cable and a broad-band internet connection installed into their home. Soon afterwards, Jeremiah appeared to be addicted to Adult Swim and Comedy Central. It goes without saying that Jeremiah seems to have an addictive personality; he spends several hours in front of a TV or computer monitor every day.

Jeremiah has an avid interest in techno, classical music, and a myriad of other songs that he deems to be "good".

Jeremiah seems to enjoy watching older movies as well, including actors like John Wayne and Clint Eastwood, who are at this point dead and dying respectively. The movies he seems to watch the most are Patton, the Guns of Naverone, the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, 28 Days Later (he enjoys the music immensely, occasionally humming a recognizable tune from the movie), Dawn of the Dead, the Resident Evil movies, and some much older films than those. The genres he seems to enjoy the most are Survival Horror, War movies/documentaries, Fantasy, Science Fiction, and Antiquidated (he watches Turner Classic Movies on occasion as well).

The same genres could be applied to Jeremiah's reading as well. Some of his favorites are 1984 by George Orwell, The Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z by Max Brooks, Sun Tzu's The Art of War, The Death Gate Cycle series, The Wheel of Time series (he hasn't finished it yet; he stopped reading it after blurting out something about it being about clothes), The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings (he read them before the movies came out, and occasionally brags about that fact), and Good Omens.

Jeremiah is not without a sense of humor. He knows when someone has said something funny - the same cannot be said of him. He usually tells in-jokes that nobody else could possibly know. It appears that he found most of them while surfing the internet for funny things. He enjoys wordplay and irony.

He's a pretty happy-go-lucky guy, except that he appears to have noone to be happy with. This is compounded by the fact that he doesn't assert himself or insert himself into other people's lives: he has to be invited into the other person's circle of friends. But, once people get used to his presence, they seem to be comfortable around him, even if he doesn't talk too much.

He has no allergies that he is aware of, and eating peanut butter sandwiches (no jelly) hasn't killed him yet. He REFUSES to eat vegetables, and will barely tolerate some fruits to enter his mouth. One of his nannies when he was a child tried to make him eat vegetables before they would allow him to eat anything else. He cowered under a bed in the dark for what seemed like 30 minutes to an hour with a mouth full of corn before his father showed up. He then kept the corn in his mouth until Mr. Hawkins drove him home, where he spat out said glob of corn into a large trash can. He doesn't consider himself traumatized, since he points out that even then he couldn't eat vegetables. That doesn't stop him from cringing and twitching in disgust when people pour their chocolate milk on their beans at lunch, and then proceed to eat them, though.

He has some personal history with psychologists, and wishes to become one himself. That, or a politician who tells the truth. He is a little naive, and suffers from a mild case of delusions of grandeur in the eyes of his latest therapist; he wants to be like the heros that he reads about, but he realizes that he doesn't have the physique or the personality to be one. He has resigned himself to be a subservient side-kick should the opportunity arise.

He currently rides a school bus to school, and seems to have ridden on such a bus his entire educational career. Because of this, he often wakes up early in the morning (about 5:30 AM) to do what he usually does (taking a hot shower, shaving stubble once a week, brushing his already emaculate teeth, getting dressed, eating breakfast, etc.).

Jeremiah was in a Weight Lifting class at Bayview his Junior year, where he failed abysmally, although his grades don't show it (participation grades only, with a couple of "Identify the Muscle Groups" tests). He didn't seem to mind, he's apparently only there because he wanted to build some endurance so that he could ride his bike to his part-time job at the library easier. It's been his favorite job so far, and it gives him a steady paycheck that he uses on his hobbies: books, video games, and movies.

In summation, he is a typical weak geek who suffers from minor mental ailments that don't have a particularly harsh impact on his life. He isn't all that concerned about his health, but he's trying to stay somewhat in shape, if only so that he can make money to cover the expenses of his hobbies.

Advantages: Jeremiah tends to listen to others, and discuss their problems and interests over his own. He has average features, and easily blends in with a crowd. He's book-smart, and has general knowledge on several subjects. He is a nice guy who respects others and their privacy, to a fault. He's optimistic and cheerful on the outside, which helps him keep the few relationships he has. He learned to be analytical of situations by reading books and thinking of what he would do in that same situation.

Disadvantages: Jeremiah is shy, and has the outgoing personality of a wallflower. He has recently lost a relative in a tragic manner. He is currently undergoing mental counseling, and is ever so slightly out of touch with reality. His skin is pale and sunburns easily, and he has a generally weak constitution. He could never effectively use a gun or any long-range weapon, since he has astigmatism in his right eye at the same time as being right handed.
