Appearance: Chase stands at about 6'1 and has a lightly toned build. He weighs in at about 155 pounds and is evenly proportioned. His body has definition but that of a casual teenager, not of an athlete. His head is ever so slightly larger than usual but his hair makes it seem as if it is normal size. His nappy black hair is always maintained into mid-back length dreadlocks. Sometimes Chase likes to tie it into a ponytail but he always leaves some strands hanging in his face. His expressive eyes are a sharp green and fairly large, resembling his mothers. His face is slightly gaunt but not in an unattractive way. Chase's mouth is slightly larger than average and his smile seems almost frightening at its full span. Chase always keeps his teeth a dazzling white to show off his smile and considers it his most notable feature. Chase has a milk chocolate complexion and almost never has any acne. He doesn't like facial hair so he shaves it almost every day.

Both of his ears are pierced and he has a large collection of earrings so he changes them each day. He very rarely wears pants that aren't jeans and his favorite belt has a pink heart shaped buckle. His wardrobe is quite varied though he prefers colorful t-shirts and light hoodies. His footwear primarily consists of expensive and colorful high-top Supras. He has plenty of pairs of glasses even though he often wears contacts to school.

Biography: Chase was born as the only son of the eccentric pair Lukas Johnson and Kiki Raths. All the way from middle school tot he end of high-school Kiki was one of the popular kids while Lukas was her socially reviled gay best friend. At Lukas's 18th birthday party the two of them got drunk and, Kiki forgetting the fact that they were just friends and Lukas whose inhibitions were weakened enough to try something new (namely girls), they snuck off into his bedroom and had drunken sex. Waking up together in his bed they decided to laugh off the whole thing and continue their friendship as if it had never happened. However Lukas's parents walked in on their naked 'let's be friends' embrace and, instead of being angry at the bottles of vodka littered around or her son holding a naked girl in his arms she was relieved that her son 'wasn't gay after all.' After they had both graduated from high-school Kiki gave birth to Chase and the two, deciding to raise the child together even if they weren't in a relationship moved to Minnesota from their home in Hawaii. Lukas's father, happy to have a grandson to carry on his line, and being the head of a multinational financial agency, paid most of their expenses allowing the pair to live a cushy life.

Chase's early life was fairly uneventful. Although his home situation was far from normal he found nothing wrong with it. He had two parents who loved him and who loved each other even if it was just as friends. Over the years Chase watched his parents bring their respective sexual partners home and began to equate promiscuity to happiness as well as learning at a very early age about homosexuality and that there was nothing wrong with it. Chase's parents were always very relaxed and felt that their son could have free reign over his life. They also spoiled him to death with his grandparents money.

Chase could not be described as popular during his middle school years. He was fairly well known but as a tool and not an actual person. Chase didn't take much care of his appearance during middle school. He was noticeably overweight and didn't even try to match his clothes to current styles or trends. However due to his parents money he was often invited to the popular kids hangouts to buy things. Sometimes they came to his house to play on his large video game collection, only actually talking to him as a last resort. While this bothered him somewhat he knew it was better than being a complete outcast and took to recording all the shallow things the kids would talk about while ignoring him.

Chase's life turned around during his sophomore year of highschool. Early in his sophomore year, due to his parents buying him a car and him being 16, Chase became the designated driver for a number of the popular kids. After a particularly stressful day at school one of the kids asked him to drive he and his buddies somewhere. Chase, put off by the kids rude method of requesting so, asked the kid to ask nicely. This was when he realized the kid wasn't saying 'Hey you' to be rude but because he actually had no idea what Chase's name was. This was a kid Chase had known since middle school. After this encounter Chase went into a depression. He felt as if he was merely a machine as opposed to an actual person. A more sympathetic popular kid ended up helping Chase take the reigns of his life and become more assertive. He taught Chase how to put his wealth and knowledge to use. By the fourth quarter of the year Chase was at least a well known kid if not a completely popular one.

During his junior year he strove to be even more popular, and above all to be remembered. His parents believed that it was fine for he and his friends to drink as long as they did it within the confines of their home. This gave Chase the ability to host parties more frequently and with less hassle than many of the other popular kids, ensuring his niche in the higher social circle. Despite throwing these crazy drinking parties Chase doesn't drink very often. He views alcohol as a tool to loosen lips and doesn't particularly care for the taste or the lack of control he feels when inebriated.

Even though he could now easily be considered a popular kid and is well known around the school he has a distaste for his popular peers. His motivation for popularity is less for friends and more so that people will always remember him in the future. He has kept up his hobby of documenting the lives of those around him. When he becomes an adult he is interested in either being a writer, a journalist or a psychologist. He thinks his research on the other kids would either make the beginnings of a great book, training for uncovering sensitive information or a peek into the mind of the average teenager. In addition he just enjoys doing it.

Most of the time Chase acts rather enthusiastic and almost stereotypically gay. Half of the time he diffuses awkward moments and th other half he intentionally creates them. In private and with closer friends Chase is more reserved. He likes to give advice to people and is usually willing to tell his friends almost anything even when he knows he shouldn't.

Advantages: Chase has three major advantages. First of all, being the king of gossip, he knows plenty of secrets about the popular kids as well as some tidbits about the less popular kids that he knows personally. He knows who to trust and he knows who not to take at their word. Second of all, even being commonly thought of as a party boy, he is a highly rational person. He will go to nearly any lengths to rationalize an action and knows that things like honor and dignity shouldn't be taken into account in his thought process. Lastly he is a very self-centered person and while he isn't one to take others happiness for his own he would take a life for his own.
Disadvantages: One of Chase's largest disadvantages is his awful eyesight. Without corrective lenses, he switches between contacts and glasses at a whim, his eyesight is significantly diminished. Surely enough to reduce any kind of aim with a long distance weapon to nothing and give him trouble recognizing or even noticing things from a distance. In addition Chase is not the most physically strong person and has no combat training of any amount. Despite his rationality his mind can switch off when he is frightened and he can be frightened by a number of mundane things that are found on islands such as spiders and cliffs.
