Now That's A Can Do Attitude

The Hunting Lodge Bar was the frequent hangout for the miners and townsfolk who wanted a drink after a hard day's work. As the name implies, the bar was originally a hunting lodge before being converted into its current state, and many animal heads are displayed across its walls. The interior of the bar itself is in relatively good condition although much of it has clearly been damaged by rats. There is no cellar and instead a back room was used as a store. There are a pair of large circular tables in the centre of the room, along with a set of booth seats along one wall. A old and haggard pool table sits disused on one side of the room and a broken down jukebox is located by it.

Now That's A Can Do Attitude

A lot verged on the sealant. Maybe too much. It was only a building material.

But hey. He had what he had.

Norbert kept a lot of attention on the announcements. He didn't want to. Made his stomach roll, made him feel like a vulture. He had to make that feeling matter. The announcements were critical information, and they left him disappointed. Okay no disappointed wasn't really the right word, he wasn't bothered that more people weren't dying it was—there were details he needed to reason his way through and if his classmates were dead, he wished it could at least be something he could give meaning.

A whole lot of justification going on in Norbert's head, as he sat in the darkened lodge, hearing the rest of the group breathe in their sleep. Night had snuck up on him and the temperature had crept down on him, and before he knew it he'd lost a day, and yeah. It wasn't ideal. Too much thinking, and too much time a-wasting.

It was too easy for his brain to get snarled up on itself if he stopped. Only so many ways he could frame 'I need to see another detonation' before he ran out of means of reassuring himself. Especially when thinking about how nobody died in a way involving the collars. Ugh.

All to put his faith in a can.

This would be funny if it wasn't so depressing.
