Here is where all threads set in the past belong. This is the place to post your characters' memories, good or bad, major or insignificant. Handlers may have one active memory thread at the same time as their normal active present-day thread. Memory one-shots are always acceptable.

Burden

The light was dim above the ceiling, casting a small amount of light across the small room. Her medium sized bed was pressed right up against the wall with two nightstands on either side, and a dresser across it. A cross fixture was placed above her bed, handing from the wall while the nightstand and wardrobe held various pieces of jewelry and makeup.

Standing in the corner of the room and staring into the mirror, she gazed upon her reflection, the lights being just enough to show herself in the mirror’s gaze. She wore a long white sleeping gown, the fabric light, nimble and slightly see through underneath as Abby glanced down at her arm. She trails her hands across her forearm, pausing as she reaches the interior of her upper bicep, just stopping at her armpit.

She deserved this..

She trailed her hand around to the neck of her elbow, staring at the skin. The burn was much less noticeable now.

She deserved it

She then looked across her other arm, her eyes gazing down towards her chest. Those were much more visible. They were easier to hide from everyone, no one even liked to look at her. She glanced at herself in the mirror. She was disgusting. She was ruined. Damaged. A burden.

A burden.

Burden.

“You want us to constantly bend over backwards for you?! You think we need anymore burdens in our lives?!”

Burden.

This was her punishment. A way she can apologize towards her parents, towards the world for being one.

I’m sorry.

That’s what she thinks. She blinked backed tears.

I’m. Sorry.
May Love Guide you!
