Hey everyone! Thank you for voting for MONTERO. I've been memeing about it for the longest time, so I'm proud that you all appreciate it as much as I do.

Now, our theme for this contest is...

Woah, did something change? Did someone mess with the timeline again? Or are we stuck in an alternate universe? Everything looks weird. The soda I was drinking just now was a Coke, now it's a Pepsi. I also feel like I've eaten something else for breakfast.

Guys. I checked the past songtest results, but they're different! It's like you picked other songs!

Well, might as well make the most of it. Some of the songs that are there were never used in our dimension, so... let's make the most of this alternate timeline. Or whatever it is.

Is there a song you thought about submitting to a previous songtest theme but chose something else? Wanted to enter a past songtest and had a song in mind for it, but you submitting on time wasn't on the cards for whatever reason? Here is the place to share songs you wanted to submit, but didn't!

Now, I know we're in a weird parallel timeline, but the rules are still the same.

- Submit songs via Discord or PM!
- Songs will be divided into 2 or 3 finals, depending on turnout.
- Listen to every song, and give points to the song you like the best. 12 to your favorite, ten to your next favorite, 8 to your third favorite, even to your next, and so on down to 1.
- If your song is in your round, vote, or face the consequences! No one wants to be disqualified in an alternate timeline. ):
- The top songs will make it to the finals! How many will depend on the turnout.
- Winner will get to host the next one when we get back!
- Don't be a sourpuss. Be polite to your fellow contestants, and have fun.

- General song rules:
No songs already submitted to a previous songtest in our dimension!
No penalty for length, but if it goes over seven minutes you are not obliged to listen to the entire length.

- Each final will go on for four (4) days. However, if you need an extension, let us know ASAP so we can arrange something.
- I'll be reminding people every 24 hours if they haven't voted yet.
- Extensions will only be given in extenuating circumstances. Forgetting isn't an extenuating circumstance.

Submissions will be open for the next four days. No immediate deadline, but if there are no submissions for 24 hours we will probably start exactly 96 hours from now. Things may be longer, but please treat it as such, okay?

Hey everyone. Sorry for the lack of updates.

So, I fell really sick over the weekend and stayed sick for a while, as I mentioned. Plus, we don't have a huge amount of submissions. So, what I'm going to do is keep the submission box open for... let's go with Saturday, 10 AM my time (PST). I will start shortly after. I'm feeling a lot better, and I'm thinking it'll be a more fun songtest if we have more folks.

Hey everyone. Update time.

So, in case you didn't see what I said in mini chat the other day, I had an extremely tough week or two IRL, to the point where I was burnt out and crying on a regular basis and generally exhausted, which lead to me not posting as quickly and delaying the song test results. I've been doing a lot better, and I'm adding the finishing touches. While I did say I would be able to do it the other night, I ended up not doing so. But I'm ready to post them shortly (as in, this afternoon).

I apologize for all the delays. Even if I was feeling unwell, I still feel I let everyone down. I'm going to post them in a bit, since I feel the best thing to do would be to simply post the results since you all are probably dying to know who won. Stay tuned.

Did you know that, in this timeline, dogs are like people? I don’t mean that humans get attached to them like children, I mean, they walk bipedally, get jobs, and are, well, people. The President is one Rover Scharzenegger, for one. The first canine president, wow! Too bad he’s in favor of the Robot Reclamation Act, though. I heard that’s extremely controversal. Though, I saw popular Dog comedian Rex McFarley make a hilarious tweet about the time Chris Rock slapped Will Smith on stage.

Another fun fact: apparently sloths are an invasive species in… pretty much everywhere, really. Like, they’re giant sized, and they eat everything, and they’re just a problem. But Scharzenegger is making an effort to combat the sloth problem in America, and politicians elsewhere are making a move too. It’s been a problem since, what, 2018? And it’s taken this long? SMH.

Anywho, anyone want to grab some Coke with Lime and Hershey’s Swoops before we go? They’re not discontinued in this timeline, so get them while you have the chance.

In this timeline, dmboogie submitted “"Если бы Любовь" by Mireile for the Eurovision songtest. In our impromptu game, it received 41 points with one 8!

While in our timeline Irina did not submit “Suji” by MARETU due to feeling uncomfortable about it even in a Yikestest at the time, looks like it made it in in this timeline. It received 48 points, with two 8s and one 12.

Skraal wanted to submit “Bury This Unstable Light” by Triple Q in both Mash-ups and Ham and Cheese, which did show up on the list in this weird parallel timeline. It received 52 points, with an 8 and a 10.

In this timeline, Blizzard submitted “Patricia” to the Nametest. Here in our game, it won 53 points, with an 8 and a 12!

Ohm wanted to submit “Say It Ain’t So” by Toe for the Weirdtest, but decided on a different Toe song. Here, it won 56 points, with a 10 and a 12!

MurderWeasel did not enter the Long Titles test, but if he did, he would have submitted “The Taming of the Hands that Came Back to Life” by Sunset Rubdown. Looks like it won 58 points here, with a 12 and an 8.

Kamtin Kazetino comtemplated many songs for the first songtest she ever hosted, Film Festival. One of them was “Demon Dance” by Julian Winding, since a lot of the songs on the Neon Demon soundtrack are honest-to-god good. However, she went with “Face to Face” by Siouxsie and the Banshees instead. Here, it received 59 points, with two 10s and one 8.

Whew! We're back! It feels weird not seeing any dinosaur pets or Dog people. I might go back there on vacation or something. Anyways, let's finish up.
