The Family

So there’s been a lot of bilateral talk back and forth, but nothing much on a unified level. I come here today to change that!

This here’s a thread for weaving together the relationships of the as-yet-unnamed (provisionally Colman, at a push) family of blue blooded elite turbosnobs with their fingers in so many pies and an above-average number of irons the fire, maybe even multiple fires.

As has been mentioned before, the idea came about at least in part from my desire to have Mercy Myers be the result of a black sheep of such a family eloping with someone “beneath” her, and having one or more cousins from her mother’s side to keep that connection nice and visible.

So sign up here if you wanna link together some kids of wealthy assholes and collectively form Red Rocks’ own Shadow Government! Proposals for a final surname (for the main branch at least, cadet families welcome too if we go that wide) are probably the first order of business besides recruitment.

So my character, Ginger 'Gigi' Peck, is still in flux (I literally came up with her when the location was announced), but she can be either part of the family (just someone with a different last name) or a family friend. She's rich herself, and the sleazy sort of rich where she underage gambles, smh. So, yeah, hit me up if you think Ginger might be a good fit! I'm still sorting out her family dynamic, how they got rich, and all that.

Similarly I have Camilla "Candy" currently-last-name-Carter-but-willing-to-change. Similarly, I haven't really sorted out her family's deal. (My only certainty was a dad who spoils her rotten, which just kind of lends itself well to a family that's wealthy.) But I'm down for a collection of kids. Love me family connections all the time.

Rather than pitch a family member, I wish to have someone who is connected to the Family in general.

This same family, who has their fingers in pies, could be involved with Joanne Martinez's father, who is a casino floor manager. Hence the connection to Joanne.

However, I actually want to present a pitch for a rival, in the form of the Thibodeaux family from Louisiana, who are against the family in their endeavors for Las Vegas. Hence Vanessa supposedly being a rival against them.

Idea I'd like to throw out there for anyone who might be interested: since a number of the kids within this upper crust elites squad probably grew up with an army of househelp at their beck and call, Raph could be their childhood up through present friend and confidante as someone who was the kid of one of those maids or drivers.

If anyone is interested in a sort of twisted relationship with a lifelong friend/lackey that would be an interesting way to go about it. Still figuring out my goals with Raph as a character and I've parred her back to a super bare bones concept to allow for flexibility with anyone interested. In terms of the family she could be privy in part to the dynamics of the group while being largely excluded from it due to being prole at the end of the day. If anyone wants to talk over all that potentially feel free to hit me up!
