hello yall i have heard a lot of talk re: v8 concepts as of late and i figure we might as well have a public repository for concepts to tide us over until v8 pregame planning gets officially underway

anyway drop your potential concepts for v8 here! and then bother other people about their concepts. make friends for your kids before you know for sure if they'll ever exist. its the sotf way

Ah good, this is a thing. I have three kids for V8, and all of them are a little... odd, let's say. Not that my V7 cast was that much different, but, without further ado...

You can see how much thought has already been put into each of them going by the length of the blurbs.

None of this is necessarily final, and all three are likely to be developed further before V8 pregame opens, but this is a good summary of each of them so far.

[+] Katelyn Graves

"What tales shall you weave, storyteller?"

Katelyn (or "Kitty") is an extremely petite white girl that dresses up in cutesy cat-themed clothing that has a lot of problems. Katelyn's life has an extensive amount of trauma in it, and her psychological scars run very deep as a result. I won't get into the details here, because it'll be more fun to have it revealed in the profile, but needless to say she's been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (before all the trauma), major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and post traumatic stress disorder, on top of having severe body image and self esteem issues thanks to the scars covering her body and her older sister's (Ashlyn Graves) bullying, respectively.

In light of all those problems, Katelyn can be highly depressive, but her personality is naturally manic and bubbley. Katelyn is often extremely hyperactive when she's around people she trusts (her friends), being very excited to talk about whatever has caught her interest at the time and involve her friends in her hyperfixations. Her main hobbies are primarily creative, with writing and drawing being her two big areas of focus, and she's fairly capable at both of them. Just like with all her interests, Katelyn is often extremely excited to show her writings and drawings to her friends, and started a D&D group in high school with herself as the DM to facilitate that.

Outside of her friend groups, Katelyn is incredibly shy with new people, but she's quite sweet to everyone that manages to pierce that veil of shyness, per her internalizing teachings her mother gave her when she was young. It's not all sunshine and rainbows though, she has an impaired sense of empathy that can often lead to her accidentally upsetting those around her without realizing she did anything wrong (often being deeply remorseful when she finds out), and her slow development of proper social skills and social etiquette through her life has left her with quite a few people who can't stand her due to past experiences.

Finally, Katelyn is disturbingly fond of and comfortable with morbid topics like death and violence, and is very prone to both denigrating herself and saying extremely dark things in casual conversation. While this love of the morbid has mostly been a net negative on her life, she seeks to turn it into a positive by going into medical school and becoming a doctor (preferably a surgeon), and volunteers at the local hospital every summer to get some experience in that setting.

"Wanna save the world, kid?"

Natasha is a somewhat tall, goth, well-built African American woman that's got a chip on her shoulder. Born to a somewhat poor family, Natasha was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) when she was only six years old. Her diagnosis ended up draining her family's finances even with insurance coverage, and when she finally entered remission they were left with crippling medical debt they couldn't afford to pay back. The resulting financial woes left Natasha's family without much in the way of material comforts, and set Natasha down the path of radicalization. Turning to influential African American minds such as Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X and their critiques of capitalism, Natasha became increasingly critical of it herself, until she eventually started reading works like the Communist Manifesto, Das Kapital, and The State and Revolution and came to declare herself a full Marxist-Leninist that wants to overthrow the capitalist order.

There's more to her than her politics, though! Natasha is deeply loyal to anyone she considers a friend, and is extremely protective of anyone in she sees as being in need, going out of her way to befriend social outcasts, comfort anyone who happens to need it, and especially confront anyone she sees as victimizing the people around them. Additionally, she's an avid fan of combat sports like MMA and is particularly into Muay Thai, learning it for the sake of both physical health and self defense. She's also very interested in hip-hop, seeing the genre in the modern era as counter-cultural and a means of critiquing the status quo through the art of music. In that vein, she admires artists like Kendrick Lamar, Brother Ali, and especially the Insane Clown Posse (going so far as to consider herself a juggalette).

[+] Lucio Oliveira

"And I thought my jokes were bad..."

Lucio is a tall, sharply-dressed Brazilian twunk that's never had a day of hardship in his life thanks to his parent's wealth. He runs track and is casually into body-building (gotta get those gains), but his real passion is being the class clown. He's a wannabe comedian, but his sense of humor is almost entirely based on bad puns and is hardly biting or smart, and his material could in general use some work. His tendency to crack jokes constantly even at the worst possible times can turn people off of him.

Still, there's a lot to like about him. He's attractive and can be charismatic when he wants to be, he's friendly to basically everyone he meets and always tries to make sure that everyone in the room is comfortable and has a smile on their face, even if it involves embarrassing himself in the process. Lucio may not be very smart, but he has a good heart and more than anything just wants to make people laugh.

Not much else to talk about with him! He's led a fairly normal life compared to the other two, even though it won't stay that way...

V8 concepts, I got a few of them. All of this is subject to change of course as they’re probably going to be altered over time but these are the folks I’ve got at current.

[+] Appearance

California is just above average height, standing at 5’9” and weighs 142 lbs. She has straight blonde hair parted in the middle that goes down to just below her shoulders. She wears large black-rimmed glasses over her vibrant green, almost emerald eyes. Her face is small and circular with pronounced cheekbones and a jawline that appears to come in before coming out again at her chin. Her ears are flat to her head with her right ear missing the top and her nose is slender while her mouth has full lips with a prominent Cupid’s bow. There is a noticeable scar that runs up from her neck and over the right hand side of her mouth.

California typically wears a plain grey beanie, with a gold puffer jacket or alternatively a leather jacket, hoodie combo thing. Underneath this she typically wears band tank tops and t-shirts. She has a large collection of wristbands on her left arm from various festivals and gigs that go partway up her forearm. On her lower half Cali wears ripped jeans typically in navy, black, blue or grey and either boots or older skate shoes.

California is 20/21 and still in 12th grade which gives you an idea of how well her life is going.

She’s been held back twice in her academic life. Once in elementary for poor grades and then again in 12th grade after a car crash gave her a litany of injuries and meant she missed most of the year. This instance of being held back put her into the same year as her younger brother Salem (being played by Cic).

As a result of this Cali is noticeably quiet and antisocial, preferring to keep to herself or a small group of friends that she’s managed to make. Her main interests are comic books specifically illustrating them—she has her own webcomic. Pool, which is something she took up out of boredom but something she’s become good at and she also enjoys hustling people at it. Anime is the other main thing she enjoys watching. Also she smokes.

[+] Appearance

Robbie is Caucasian and has long black hair that she tends to keep tied back in a high ponytail at most times. Her face is slender and delicate looking and normally features a friendly smile, made from full lips. She has large eyes that are light blue in colour, her nose is thin and straight. Her ears are small in size and aren’t pierced. Robbie typically puts a decent level of effort into her makeup everyday.

On her upper half Robbie likes wearing t-shirts or tight fitting tank tops to show off her toned arms, which she is very proud of.

As a result of her spina bifida Robbie prefers to wear trackpants or shorts on her lower half for the sake of ease in her routine and comfort. On her feet she wears simple cheap trainers.

As a baby Robbie suffered from a severe case of spina bifida with myelocele in her lower back which resulted in her paralysis from the waist down. She’s lived her whole life in a wheelchair but has always put a lot of effort into dealing with her disability and learning to live with it. Her primary interest is basketball, both as a fan and as a participant. Always wanting to take part in a fast-paced game like basketball Robbie sought out any opportunity to play wheelchair basketball with local groups or at local centres. She also lifts weights for her own enjoyment and to stay healthy. Outside of sports Robbie’s main interests are MMORPGs and Dungeons and Dragons as she enjoys the sense of community and escapism that they can bring, so if there’s any groups for those she’ll be interested.

In terms of her personality Robbie is a very optimistic and friendly person. She enjoys dumb jokes but woe betide you if you try to do anything for her, there’s a chance you’ll end up in a ditch.

[+] Appearance

Aracelis normally wears loose fitting airy clothing, such as harem pants or flowy light dresses with various styles of crop top. She also has long curly brown hair.

Aracelis has always been interested In cheerleading perceiving the women and girls that she saw doing it popular and beautiful in an aspirational way. After much harassing of her mother Aracelis was eventually signed up for a cheerleading club, which she has continued to attend while joining the schools cheer squad. This interest also lead her into gymnastics as she worked on her cheer skills. Her other big interests are ecology, skateboarding, photography, urban exploration weed and raving.

Personality wise she is very chill, laid back and caring when it comes to her friends but also has an low-key arrogant demeanour since she’s good at cheer and knows it while also not giving a fuck about people she isn’t friends with already. Also Aracelis is 100% the type of person to be like if someone asks her to hold the elevator door would be like "I'm pressing the button!" as she presses the close door buttoned.

[+] DeShaun Blaydes

[+] Appearance

DeShaun is 6’0” and 200lbs. He has close shaved hair, a round face and a large physique. He always makes an effort to look presentable although he does mainly wear loose fitting tank-tops and shorts or joggers.

The large and boisterous DeShaun is the running back for the schools football team, a big softie he tries to treat everyone with the same kindness, friendliness and positivity that he wants to be treated with.

DeShaun is also gay and takes part in many anti-bullying and LGBTQ+ groups around school, while he is open about his sexuality he has received pushback from his father and older brothers. He also enjoys reading, dance and acting although these things take a backseat to his football commitments as he doesn’t want to let the team down or be seen as unreliable.

I have a bunch in differing shapes of ready, but here are the two with names:

Abigail "Gale" Bailey had a pretty normal early life, doing kid stuff like getting super invested in pokemon and watching streams. Then one day her favorite semi-obscure streamer vanished. Investigation led her down a rabbit hole that hasn't been super hot for her mental health! This manifested in a growing nervousness about school trips and ultimately led her to help "save" the class by yanking a fire alarm on field trip day freshman year. This did not win the widespread acclaim it probably deserved, and it took a lot of negotiation and mental health evaluations to get her not-expelled, and as part of this she had to give a spiel on school safety and why screwing with the fire alarms is bad but it did not go well. So now she's known as "fire alarm girl" and is given a wide berth by normal/popular people, but has a bit of a friend group of weirdos who meet in somebody's parents' shed to talk about how to avoid getting got by SOTF (spoilers: mostly by skipping field trips). She's super loyal to her friends but also can be really really needy and dogmatic about stuff. Hasn't gone on a school trip since eighth grade. Probably but not 100% staying home for Meanwhile. Might have most of a profile already.

[+] What Gale looks like

Gale stands at 5'6" and weighs roughly 130 pounds, leaving her somewhat slender. Her weight is fairly evenly distributed between limbs her limbs and body, giving her a generally rectangular body type. Gale has a round face and wide green eyes; her shoulder-length hair is platinum blonde and straight, and she usually wears it loose, parted neatly in the middle. Gale has small ears that lie close to her head, pierced once apiece in the lobe, and a straight nose of average size. She has a fairly small mouth, and straight white teeth which she takes good care of. She keeps her makeup minimal, eschewing it entirely on some days and generally sticking to light lip gloss and a bit of eyeshadow. She keeps her eyebrows neat and thin. Gale is Caucasian, with a pale complexion; her skin is generally clear and on those rare occasions she suffers from acne she tends to try to mask it with concealer. Gale is fairly nearsighted, and wears glasses with thin oval lenses.

Gale's fashion sense is fairly restrained in most ways, but also generally varied. She favors t-shirts for most outfits, usually either in plain colors or with meaningless patterns, though if it's colder or she's feeling more formal she'll don a button-down shirt or blouse. Depending on weather, she'll sometimes add a hoodie or a rain jacket to her ensemble. Gale does not particularly favor skirts or pants, and switches as her mood of the day dictates. She tends towards knee-length skirts or skinny jeans when it's normal or cool, and shorter skirts or shorts when it's warmer out. On particularly formal occasions, Gale will sometimes break out a dress. She wears sneakers whenever possible, only ditching them when they're totally unfitting for her outfit or the formality of an event. On the day of the abduction, Gale was wearing a loose white skirt that came to a bit above her knees, white sneakers, high black socks, a black t-shirt, and a black hoodie with a handwarmer. She paired this with small gold stud earrings and her glasses.

[+] Savanna

Savanna Adkins is a friendly, outgoing girl who's part of an old clique of friends who've stuck together over the years despite growing in different directions. Her particular path has led her to be all in. Always. Very poor sense of moderation. Good food? Chows down! Out drinking? Guess who's puking in the toilet! But the other side of this is she's very friendly/fun-loving and is about helping others too, with similar all-in style. Had a bad breakup? Well, guess who's turning up to take you out for a crazy whirlwind night on the town. She's not tone-deaf and does know how to respect folks who are different, so can be loads of fun... but might be just a bit disappointed if you dip before she's done. Has a kinda ironic sense of humor. Wears this a lot.

Ayyyy! I also have a kid I been marinating on for a bit! Obviously everything is subject to change!

Lucia "Lulu" Lujan: Of Dominican and Puerto Rican origins, Lucia is a bit of a mess. She is the oldest of five and has four little brothers and parents that are pretty messed up themselves leading her to be primarily raised by her grandmother. Lucia is a bit of a wild-child, enjoying partying and a general hedonism that no doubt is both her acting out and a cry for help. She got pregnant her Freshman year of high school and missed a year due to complications involving that--the baby was put up for adoption and that is something she does not take well to people bringing up. A very talented rapper with a large social media presence from the age of sixteen onward, she is planning an in-state tour after graduation and plans to attack her musical career with the full force of her ambition. Genuinely, a fun loving and free spirited person on the surface who due to her small size is genuinely viewed as non-threatening and friendly. Sometimes vulgar and provocative but often times sensitive and with a responsible side she doesn't like to acknowledge or show off. Lulu is someone who is old enough to know better and young enough to not give a fuck, in spite of her demeanor being several years her senior. In terms of work, she mostly works as a delivery girl for UberEats, DoorDash, Postmates, whatever sorta equivalent there will be in v8land and this in and of itself is a front for a small-time black market marijuana business. Her grandmother is aware of such things, but both the money she receives from it and the guilt she feels about Lulu's circumstance causes her to turn a blind eye.

Appearance wise, I picture Lulu as being very short, like 5'2" and kinda spritely. Her personality on the surface is sorta like a human version of a Boston terrier: she's excitable, enthusiastic, loyal and probably a little derpy.

Concept in Eight Words: Several chips embedded in her shoulder. Hates horseshit.

Hobbies/Interests: Singing, playing guitar, drumming, listening to music, camping, hiking, fishing, academic decathlon.

Appearance: Amaryllis Perlman is a young woman of mixed Irish and Ashkenazi Jewish descent. She has chestnut brown eyes and straight red hair that she has done back in a ponytail. Her hair, when let down, goes just past her shoulders. She takes good care of her hair, and takes pride in its appearance. Though her hair is naturally ginger, she has dyed it to cherry red, with a few streaks of white added in. She is 5'8" and weighs 134 lbs. She has a lithe build, kept in shape by her active lifestyle. Amaryllis has lean, toned muscle definition in her upper body and core. One defining facial feature of hers is a scar she has under her right eye that stretches vertically the length of her cheek.

Mary usually wears clothing of a punk style, both to school and when out on the town. When she is going outdoors on a camping trip or a hike, however, she wears rugged military surplus gear more befitting of outdoor activity. Her everyday outfit is all black, wearing a band t-shirt or something with a design on it or a black tank top with black distressed jeans and black hiking boots, preferring them to the combat boots more typical of the punk style. Frequently accessorizes with a black choker. She has a tattoo of a flaming skull on her right shoulder that she got from an older friend at age sixteen.

Favorite Food: Food is fuel.

Concept in Eight Words: Listen, nerdy shit is just really fun, okay?

Hobbies/Interests: Wrestling, partying, recreational drug use, competitive fighting games, poetry.

Appearance: Eugene Marcus is an African American male. He is 6'2" tall, and weighs 194 lbs. His eyes are dark brown. His complexion is dark, and his skin is mostly clear and free of blemishes. He has a round body shape, with little definition due to the layer of fat on most of his body—however, when flexing, he has notable development in the forearms, quadriceps, and in his core. He has small ears, and his nose is straight and protrudes only slightly from his face. He has his hair styled in short box braids. He has a beard which he takes little care to groom, opting for a rugged look.

Concept in Eight Words: This used to be a Dave Strider insert, folks.

Hobbies/Interests: DJ-ing, beat-making, rapping, listening to music, photography, internet history, internet humor and memes, fencing, economics.

Appearance: Coda (born Cody) is caucasian with pale white skin, assigned male at birth. Their height is 5'10" and they weigh 140 lbs. They have bleached blond hair, even though their hair is naturally blond. They bleach it so that it'll be even more white. Their eyes are hazel colored. They are poor sighted enough to need glasses, but they wear contact lenses instead; they are able to afford color contacts that make their pupils look red, which they occasionally wear for the express purpose of startling others. Their hair is styled in a swept-back manner, and is generally long and fluffy, comparable to a bird's nest. They have an alto vocal range, and their speaking voice is animated and lively.

They wear aviator sunglasses at all times. Generally, they wears graphic t-shirts from Uniqlo with simplistic, minimalist designs, and jeans. For footwear, they usually wear Vans sneakers without socks.

Concept in Eight Words: This is still a Chie insert, my friends.

Hobbies/Interests: Fitness, exercise, martial arts movies, carpentry, getting into heated arguments about really stupid things that she knows don't matter but what's dying on a hill mean if the hill is made of your corpses.

Appearance: APPEARANCE:

HAIR: Mai's hair is naturally dark black, but has been dyed a light blonde. She has it styled in a bowl cut.
SKIN: Mai's skin is pale and smooth, essentially. Probably lighter skinned than a lot of white people.
EYES: Light brown eyes, short eyelashes. Hooded lids.
MOUTH: Small mouth, thin lips. Teeth mostly clean, distinctive staining of coffee consumption.
NOSE: Little nose, kind of round at the end.

CLOTHES: Chie wears a lot of bright red clothing. Often she wears a red athletic jacket over a variety of quirky t-shirts featuring a variety of quotes and sayings.

VOICECLAIM: Mai's voice is boyish. High-pitched, but with a low end that she can make more apparent at will for exaggeration or comedic effect.
ACCENT: Mai does not have an accent, but is given to mispronounce words or make them up when she doesn't know the right one for the situation.

LANGUAGE: Mai is a fluent speaker of both English and Japanese.
ARTICULATION: Mai is somewhat inarticulate in both of her languages. Her tendency to make up words is more pronounced in English, but happens sometimes when speaking Japanese as well.
EDUCATION: She speaks sentences of moderate length, and is generally sort of blunt with her speech. Has a tender side that she shows to her friend.
LAUGHTER: Laughs frequently but often at other people's expense. Other people laughing makes her laugh.
GRUMP: When Mai is upset, she grumbles moderately, is more prone to confrontation.

Boop. I have concepts. I keep changing mine around, so don't count on everything being the same.

Laci York- As some of you might know, we have a friend group based around the seven deadly sins/contrasting virtues, and here is mine based off Pride/Diligence! From a young age she has been into pageantry, acting, and singing, and prides herself on her successes. Outwardly polite, but in actuality pretty elitist in that she is overly focused on TALENT and SUCCESS. She will pretend to be sweet and nice towards you if you're not particularly "talented", but to her you don't matter unless you have tons of acclaim, success, and so on. By the way, because of this she is extremely driven, to the point where she would scratch and claw her way up to the top 110% So, she's a good student and tries to come up on top in everything she does. It's likely that she has the relationship she has with the other sin kids because she's known them for years and they go way back? She's also the type to, like, express her friendship like "HEY FRIEND HAVE YOU APPLIED TO A SCHOLARSHIP FOR THAT DEGREE IN THAT THING YOU'RE GOOD AT HERE ARE SOME I FOUND BETTER APPLY OR ELSE. ):< <3"

She's still being fleshed out some, but I'm thinking she has a secret fondness for horses. Like, still has a bunch of horse plushies and toys from childhood, and possibly volunteered at a horse sanctuary to boost her cred, and only boost her cred, honest.

Elodie Hailey- So, uh, you know the goblincore Tumblr tag? Yeah, that one? Well, imagine at least 75% of the content on it being spoken by a smol, chipper teenage girl who loves rocks, nature, hiking, and warm sweet delicious bread, and you start to get a picture. Elodie is an adventurous girl who really embodies the concept as a whole: has a hoard of shiny rocks and other small knick knacks and souvenirs, loves animals and nature, kind of upbeat if not kiddy and chaotic, and will present you with fresh homemade bread each and every time she shows up to the Natural History Club meetings. I'm still fleshing out the circumstances, but I'm thinking she also moved around a lot prior to arriving at the V8 school, which is part of the reason why she keeps a lot of rocks and small knick knacks: they're memories of the past places she's been! Additionally, she loves fantasy genre stuff, especially Tolkien-esque high fantasy, and has a few books she's going her way through.

Other hobbies include posting videos on the internet (very active on Tiktok assuming someone else new doesn't come along and render it obsolete by the time V8 starts), some sort of sport (thinking lacrosse) along with participating in the marching band, and probably some other hobby that will never come up IC but I get inspired by and absolutely must include it.

Cold and a bit unapproachable, but is fairly nice once you get past his armor. Can carry whole conversations without saying anything meaningful about himself. Kinda sad and negative in general except when it involves his hobbies and interests. He is ethnically Armenian.

[+] Ellis Wheaton

Ellis Wheaton is the youngest of three boys, often finding himself as the victim of his older brothers and their pranks and teasing, something his father encourages to toughen him up. This made him a bit cowardly and weak, often depending on his mom for support. Growing up as a sweaty, awkward child, Ellis never found much success in various ventures. It wasn’t until he was about 10 that he discovered his passion: ventriloquism.

Ellis got his first puppet, a squirrel named Armand, and began to take classes. While Ellis got the hang of ventriloquism, his performance skills weren’t as good. He’s mostly done talent shows and open mics, but has had very little success. His issues mostly come from poor joke writing and delivery, mixed with some stage fright, but he insists on continuing with this. He has five puppets (Armand the squirrel, Dandy the greaser, Lucy the little girl, Chunks the gorilla, and Mudpie the pig) at the time of abduction, although Armand is the only one he has on the trip.

Ellis’ social circle are nerdy friends, predominately male. He’s also interested in card games and role-playing games, which he thinks will help with ventriloquism. He’s doing well in school, primarily in math. Because he’s required to go to college by his father, he’s decided to pursue accounting courses, although he wants to be a pro ventriloquist in Vegas. Ellis has no real relationship with his brothers or dad, and is very much a momma’s boy. He’s a bit of a tryhard to make people like him, but is a bit weak and crumbles when heavily stressed.

Ellis is a short boy, around 5'5" and skinny. He has close cropped red hair, pale skin, a lot of freckles on his face, dark brown eyes, and a tiny nose. He tends to wear collared shirts and jeans.

Chiara is the oldest of three girls, having lived in Italy until she was 10. After her family moved to the US for work, Chiara adapted to being an American. For the most part, Chiara grew up as a quiet and introspective child. For the most part, Chiara doesn’t really talk to people, nor does she engage in any clubs or activities. She never looks lonely or bored, but she just prefers to be on her own. Because of this, Chiara has really no friends or relationships, and most people can’t really describe her.

Despite her antisocial nature, Chiara is a person of many interests. Chiara is interested in makeup and hairstyling, taking pride in her appearance. She also regularly swims at her neighborhood YMCA, but doesn’t look into swim team as it doesn’t interest her. She also reads a lot, usually checking out books from her library and reading them during lunch and breaks. If people try to talk to her, she is terse and kind, but isn’t much of a conversationalist. She’s also never had a relationship and isn’t really into boys, possibly asexual.

Because of her lack of focus, it’s not entirely clear what Chiara will do after graduating. She’s looked into beauty school and some communications programs, but hasn’t settled on any. Her family is a bit worried about her lack of direction, but also think she’ll realize her decision someday. While Chiara is antisocial and quiet, she is generally friendly and rarely gets in anyone’s way, making her unmemorable but not really disliked.

Chiara is around 5'8", white skin, white blonde hair that falls to her shoulders, blue eyes, and straight teeth. She tends to wear shirts and shorts/jeans, with minimal makeup and jewelry.

Letitia is the second of four children, and the older of two girls (older brother, younger sister, youngest brother) born to a wealthy family. Because of her family’s upbringing, Letitia grew up with everything she ever wanted, which made her a bit spoiled and materialistic. She grew up being told to take everything she wants, making her fairly competitive and aggressive when it comes to her goals. Because of this, she is a bit of an overachiever and a bit haughty.

Letitia’s main goal is to be a fashion mogul. She wants to start her own enterprise and sell clothes, accessories, makeup, etc. She’s been studying business and fashion design, and has even tried launching a business in her teens. While she’s had minor success at trade shows and trunk shows, she’s still early in the process. She plans to attend business school and fashion school, and continues to work.

Letitia is known around school for her arrogance and haughty behavior. She’s made a lot of enemies, but her friend circle are girls like her. She’s had a few boyfriends and dated a few guys, although nothing serious has occurred. Letitia has gotten into minor trouble, but avoids it. She also does very well in all her classes and stays in the top of the class.

Letitia is African-American, with dark brown skin, long straight black weave that reaches her mid-back, large brown eyes and full lips. She has a large wardrobe and updates regularly, with impeccable makeup and styling.

Micah is the oldest of two, with a younger sister. Micah has been into physical activities since he was young and primarily got into strength sports. This has mostly been interest in weightlifting and strongman, something he’s been working on in his teens. This has made him very tall and muscular, making him quite intimidating. He’s entered weightlifting competitions and strongman contests, with varying success.

Socially, Micah is stoic and terse, but not unfriendly. He’s got a few athlete friends and is generally on good terms with people. Micah also came out early in high school and has had a few boyfriends and flings. He’s more of a hit-it-and-leave person though, and most of his relationships end early. Because of this, he has a bit of a rep as a lothario.

Micah wants to continue to compete in weightlifting and strongman competitions, and is going to pursue them in college. He’s also interested in sports medicine so he can be a physical trainer. Academically, he’s not the best in humanities, but is better in math and science.

Micah is over 6 feet tall, quite muscular, and has shaggy brown hair and a thick beard. He tends to wear athletic clothing.

[+] Hayleigh Lupo

Hayleigh is an outdoorsy, athletic kinda girl in an introverted way. She comes from a separated family; her dad and mom split up in the months following her older brother's death as a child but never officially divorced. The accident that killed her brother occurred during a family camping trip, and while Hayleigh was too young and traumatized to have a clear picture of the details she blames herself. She lives with her mother, a fitness instructor, and spends summers as well usually one school break a year with her father, who is a wildlife and hunting photographer. Hayleigh takes after many of her father's interests including hunting, sharpshooting, tracking, taxidermy, leather working, smoking and curing meat, and bluegrass music, though she is also interested in personal fitness and swimming from her mother. For hobbies of her own Hayleigh has been pulled towards LARPing as a form of escapism, and has a fascination with death and the afterlife as well as religious and philosophical discourse on the purpose of life, though she does not firmly believe in any school of thought. The most private aspect of Hayleigh's personality is her compulsion to emotionally self-harm. When she feels guilt over her brother or the damage done to her parents' relationship she seeks out accounts of people who have died publicly and traumatically, preferably on camera, and forms fantasies about how she could have saved them while wallowing in her helplessness. This has led her to consume a great deal of SotF over the years, though this is not an interest that she shares publicly. I'm also getting a lean that she's agender or genderqueer but doesn't have enough investment in gender to explore that part of herself or worry about pronouns.

Hayleigh can be closed off socially. She doesn't put a lot of effort into her appearance and there are times when her hygiene lapses because she's in too dark a place to care, which is probably enough to turn some people off from the jump. When approached she's soft-spoken though and very loyal if you take the time to bond with her, just awkward as all hell and doesn't know how to approach people outside her very specific interests. She's sorta kinda not really but maybe step-siblings with one of Zee's kids whose name i can't remember right now because I'm a bad friend; her mom and their dad have a Thing going on that Hayleigh doesn't really like to think about because it makes her feel worse about how things have gone with her parents, if one of them really moves on that's game over and she's not ready to accept that yet.

Jimmy's a real piece of shit, he just doesn't know it. This guy's hungry. He comes from a poor family with three siblings and a dad with a record working whatever shitty jobs he can get to keep the lights on. When he's a kid Jimmy's parents are his heroes, he respects how hard they work and wants to be just like his old man someday. As he grows older and times don't get any better he grows to resent both of his parents. The flaws of their past stand out more and more to him and he buys into big pull yourself up by your bootstraps energy, if they were working smarter instead of harder then their lives wouldn't suck so much. He studies hard because he's gonna be better than them and he finds his grind wherever he can get it; while kids around him are dreaming of being stars in sports and entertainment Jimmy's dreaming of being their manager and taking a cut of everything they earn. Other kids dream of a mansion and Jimmy wants to be the guy that sells it to them. Right now he's stuck on small time business though, ticket scalping, essay mills, he thinks of himself as an influencer but he's not got a lot of influence to throw around yet. Outside of the hustle he likes to write, he likes cars, and he's into whatever's popular right now.

Around others Jimmy's a funny guy who likes to do people favors so they'll owe him. He'll hook you up and if he does his thing right you won't even know he fleeced you, or at least you'll take it as a cost of doing business, y'know? His big weakness right now is Lulu, played by Chad. They grew up together and were a real cute close couple until he allegedly knocked her up. Jimmy walked out on her fast when she broke the news and while he tells people this story about how he's sure the kid wasn't his with the way she partied he knows under the surface that even if it was he wasn't ready to be tied down. He's scared to death of fucking up and ending up like his parents, trapped in this cycle of mistakes and bad luck that won't ever let him go. Bring her up and the mood is gonna go sour fast. Otherwise though he's an outgoing dude once you get past his whole used car salesman aesthetic.

[+] Ifelewa Soyinka

Ifelewa is an aspiring therapist, in no small part due to their struggle to find adequate care. They are both Deaf and schizophrenic; they were born in Cotonou, Benin, but immigrated to live with extended family in the states who were more equipped to handle their needs sometime between their 8th and 11th birthday, haven't decided yet. Ifelewa is one of many non-western cases of schizophrenia that finds the impulses and hallucinations intrusive but generally positive in tone, which is often at odds with the treatment they receive in America. This is complicated by experiencing some of the more universal symptoms of schizophrenia like sudden social withdrawal and depression, unpredictable agitation, and bouts of disorganized speech that they resist acknowledging. Ifelewa prefers to work with trusted therapists and set goals to engage in social supports appropriately rather than rely on medication to manage their symptoms. They enjoy gardening, board games, dancing, poetry, [sport tbd], and activism(particularly for disability and immigrant rights).

Ifelewa tries to be friendly with anyone who will engage with them. They have an active social media presence since most of their communication is done through electronic text, and they try to fill their free time with clubs or other activities to keep them active as they can get into a cycle of withdrawal when they are left unoccupied too often. They don't like bullies or bigots though they have difficulty inserting themself effectively into active conflicts, and when they can communicate clearly they're more likely to try some disappointed bargaining than to get angry at anyone. They want you to know they care when you're struggling though, and whatever your problems may be they are real and valid without shame.

Clara is hands-down the worst person I've ever put to paper to the point that I am not sure I'm gonna be comfortable enough writing her to put her in the game. She's the daughter of a hardcore fundamentalist Protestant pastor who comes from a long line of fundamentalist Protestant pastors, but her affiliation with the worst aspects of the church is not what makes Clara a horrible person. Gods no if that was it i'd just pity her. Clara is the sort of human being who has kinda decided for herself that her family's whole deal is bullshit for the entirely selfish reason that she stands no chance of earning or inheriting her way into the highest places of power in the community, so she uses fear and shame as weapons against other people to make herself feel powerful. She is particularly hateful towards anyone LGBTQ+ and towards other women, who she bullies through a veil of concerned doctrine at every opportunity. While in public she's not Westboro Baptist levels of shitty and has learned to code the way she says things to be minimally acceptable for the general public, when she speaks at the youth and women's ministries for her church she is capable of some truly vile rhetoric. Her ultimate aim is to marry a weak willed man that can sock puppet into a platform for herself.

I don't expect Clara to be popular with others but hey, I dunno where V8 is going to be so for all I know we'll land on a location where everybody wants a kid like this. Until then though I'm not sure I can say much more about her place with other kids other than I fucking despise her and you probably should to, fuck this little monster.

Teddy is a mouthy twink gymnast with an emo streak and absolutely no fear. if he has an opinion he'll sure let you hear it and you won't even have to ask! He presents very feminine and loves to get in fights verbal or otherwise about what that says about his masculinity. He likes to party and probably has a little bit of a drinking problem.

Haven’t really done a real profile of them or anything organized, but I’ve got some stuff written for them, so here are my four three v8 kids

[+] Eunice St. Claire aka my smol and moody child

Eunice St. Claire is a small and skinny girl with short messy curly brown hair held up by a headband and narrow blue eyes behind red-rimmed glasses while freckles and pimple scars cover her skin all over. Likes wearing bright and neon colors, despite being a grumpy grump because deep down inside all she wants is to be noticed.

She’s that girl who’s always on her phone looking down. Anytime she has to look up, her automatic instinct is to scowl. Habitual online stalker and sketcher of attractive boys. An introvert who would proudly claim that she will be happy enough with shutting herself in her own room with her phone and/or laptop and chargers, as long she has an Internet connection, bathroom access, and lots of junk food.

Hair-trigger temper. A very lazy and unmotivated child of many skills; she actually could easily get good grades, has a natural athleticism, an interest in computers and IT, learned to play a variety of instruments, and could realistically draw anything she sees. Unfortunately, she grew insecure with her own looks and developed a tendency to compare people’s appearances, and her own self-esteem took a dive, losing her passion early. Now she barely studies anything and has a rather low stamina.

She barely even puts an effort on her appearance, stating that she’d given up on looking pretty, but would readily accept any offer of giving her a makeover, which she wouldn’t maintain anyway. She’s not very good at expressing her emotions without being too snappish or rough about it, and would privately berate herself when she ends up driving away someone she didn’t mean to drive away.

She obsessively follows the lives of the beautiful people and celebrities in social media, preferring to show more interest about them rather than herself, whom she considers utterly plain and boring. A superficial, shallow and easily bored gossip. She’s a lot less sullen with people she’s comfortable with, showing a more outspoken demeanor, rather loud and talkative. Despite being rather observant, she unfortunately easily doubts people’s intentions.

[+] Alec Lewis aka my petite dancer with hair of silver moonlight

Lithe and flexible, Alec Lewis is a boy of average height but of a petite stature. A boy with light brown skin and heavy-lidded icy blue eyes, while a smattering of small moles scatter across his face. His bleached silver hair is also pretty damaged due to him having impulsively done it himself without knowing a lot, and he’s still contemplating whether he regrets it or not.

Ever since he was a child, Alec loved art and music. Constantly moving along songs, he was ecstatic when his mother signed him up for dance classes. Ever since then, Alec has been formally trained in different dance styles, and even studied other styles by himself, with jazz in particular as his favorite. It was clear that he would be dancing for a long time, and coming from a family who loved the arts as well, he had never been short of affection and support for his dream.

Outside of dancing, he’s an initially shy but kind boy. Polite and friendly, he has lots of passion for what he loves, and could still muster lots of enthusiasm for everything else. He’s rather sensitive and loves to laugh, and might act a little bit awkward and quirky at times. While usually levelheaded, he has moments of impulsiveness that often leads to uncomfortable results.

Despite being a clumsy nerd who tends to space out, Alec is not a pushover. He’s playful, ambitious and competitive, and arguably shady at times of high pressure. While mostly self-assured, he has moments of working himself too hard, and doesn’t take it very well when it doesn’t come through. Overall, a responsible boy who still knows how to have fun.

Alec is someone who wouldn’t hesitate defending himself and the people he cares about. Physically affectionate and loving to people he’s close with, he is also a hopeless romantic with lots of love to give to his girlfriends. He can move a little too fast, act too clingy and too overwhelming in his gestures, but he would want the same high amount of affection back, in which if not received he would often get easily disappointed and feeling taken for granted. So…a couple of failed relationships there actually.

[+] Ara Canlas aka my feral ball of sunshine and inferiority complex

Aramina “Ara” Canlas is a short and plump Filipina with long-legged proportions that make her look taller than she is. With warm brown skin and dark brown eyes, Ara had also dyed her shoulder-length black hair to a light golden brown. Rarely going out without makeup, she’s always putting effort on clothes, fashion and her style.

She spent most of her childhood in the Philippines as a loud but popular girl before moving to the US, and had a hard time adjusting because of it. Besides losing some of her confidence, her relationship with her family, while still undoubtedly loving, became strained. However, after finding a newfound love in theatre and performing and also managing to join the volleyball team of her school, she has gotten a recent push of confidence and was already going back to being the happy and strong-willed girl that she was back home.

Unfortunately, she had a bullied past that drove her to an all-or-nothing “me vs the world” mindset that she often applied in her everyday life, believing herself as the underdog of her story. A bright, loud and energetic young girl, she’s loyal and affectionate with a good sense of humor. However, she’s also easily provoked, and can get very petty and vindictive at even the smallest hint of a slight against her or her values. An intelligent and well-read girl, she’s also stubborn and will definitely hold a grudge. While a slow learner who unfortunately can’t handle criticism, she does learn her lesson either given with time or the hard way.

She’s protective of her friends, and rather distrusting of people she doesn’t know much about. She can be very sweet to her friends or anyone that gives the impression of being one, and could act very hostile and aggressive to anyone she decides she disapproves of. Gets offended if people judge her before even talking to her though, and she’s vaguely aware of the hypocrisy to be chastised if called out on it.

Despite growing up in a conservative family, her parents have never been too strict or discriminatory of what she can know and learn about as long as it was age-appropriate, which led to her different views and opinions as compared to the rest of her family’s. While they’re all fairly close despite frequent arguments, Ara is a closeted lesbian and has no plans of coming out to her family as long as she’s still financially dependent on them.
