This is pretty goddamn late but hey, better late than never. Hello, hi, aloha, whatever. Today I have four kids that I wanna share with you and see if they’d gel well with your guys. Or if they won’t. Both are fun!

fucking threading the needle here Jesus Christ

Michael Goldstein comes from a family with a long history of serving in the Armed Forces, with his parents being veterans and his brother actively serving in the Army. Naturally, the expectation is that he’ll follow suit and sign up. The issue is that Michael doesn’t want to join the Army and instead wants to go to medical school, which has led to some tension with his family. Probably spends a lot of time outside the house doing stuff as a result.

This stuff includes baseball - Michael playing as a shortstop for Red Rock’s team, and being a fan of the Aviators otherwise - volunteering at the care home where his grandfather lives, and running. He’s an average player on the team, a few good plays here and there but nothing truly special. In his first year, Michael was in JROTC, but quit in favour of playing baseball. He is also a practising Conservative Jew alongside his family, generally going to synagogue for religious holidays.

In school, he’s a top student, as he needs to be in order to get the grades for medical school. His favourite subject is Science, as it’s the most relevant to the career path he wants to choose, although PE comes in as a close second. Socially, he’s just… kind of there, I guess. Not a social butterfly with a hundred friends but not a complete loner. There’s probably a better term for that. Sticks with baseball friends and fellow good students. Has a bit of a stubborn streak. Probably a generic lib, and has occasionally argued about this.

What am I looking for?

Friends
- He runs, he does community service, he plays baseball. He probably has a bunch of friends from that, but I’m always up for ideas. Maybe you also like the Aviators or something.

Enemies
- To be honest, I dunno if Michael is the kind of guy who has enemies, but I’m up for ideas. Maybe someone he’s argued with about politics, maybe you just don’t like how generally inoffensive he is, who knows?

Girlfriend - Now, I think I remember talking to Salic about one of his characters dating Michael a while ago but I’ll have to check and see if that’s still a thing. Just putting this out there in case that girl’s scrapped or doesn’t fit with the vibe anymore.

[+] Michael relationships
Friends/Teammates
Clarissa Shoemaker - "She's nice. I like when we get to talk."
Johnny Benowitz - "A little too sure of his talents, but he's a nice guy."

Acquaintances
Bak Ga-eul - "She's nice. Don't know if she's into late or early running, though."
Celestino “Les” Koh - "Think he'd be mad if I told him I was his buddy just to piss Dad off?"

Ryumi Nakanowatari is the god-forsaken Mahjong player. Born into a Japanese-American family that values spending time with each other, Ryumi has always had an appreciation for board games and the like, things that you can do while vibing with each other. Her mom and dad run a small restaurant near the Strip, aimed more at residents than the many tourists to Vegas, and so she’s grown up helping out whenever she can alongside her siblings. (tbd how many there are, probably 2-3?) Her post-high school plans are kind of fuzzy.

One of Ryumi’s hobbies is board games, with a preference for Riichi mahjong because she’s good at it and can flex on people who aren’t, so she’s definitely a member of the board game club. Generally though, she just likes spending time with her friends, and is up to try anything they suggest as long as she can chat with them and just enjoy the energy. Maaaybe a partier, but I dunno if it fits her vibe. Maybe she’s been to a couple. Ryumi is probably a Swiftie and has dragged her friends to karaoke a few times, which is also something she likes. Overall just one of those really energetic people who you see doing all kinds of shit.

Ryumi’s likely an average student; not top marks, not failing or borderline fading, just sorta in the middle, which her parents probably get on her case for sometimes. Her favourite class is Drama/whatever it’s called in America, because she gets to ham it up a little and pretend that she’s someone else for a bit. She’s one of those people that everyone is at least kinda familiar with, whether through actually talking to her or just having a reputation as friendly.

What am I looking for?

Friends
- Ryumi has probably interacted with most people in the year at least once, so she’s probably made some friends through that. The board game club has also helped her make friends.

Enemies - There’s probably a couple. Maybe you think she’s annoying. Maybe you don’t like short people. Gimme your ideas!

Exes/hookups - Ryumi is bi, and has dated/hooked up with a few people before, so if you think she might have clicked with one of your guys/gals, shoot your shot.

[+] Ryumi relationships

Acquaintances
Kiandra Davis - "She's cute, but there's plenty of fish in the sea! Aaaand if she's famous in the future I can brag about going on a date!"
Koa Tagaloa - "Guy's a lil too jocky for my liking, buuut I can't hate a guy who I beat!"
Liliana Monroe - "How can someone be so bad at... every kinda boardgame, yet have a voice like Taylor at karaoke???"
Mona Marroquín - "I get that she's, like, y'know, and I probably should care about that more, but I dunno. There's someone nice under the surface."

Bradley Hackett started out as a self-insert but has diverged a lot. Born several months premature, he had a few health issues; the most important being an imperforate anus, which was ‘fixed’ with a colostomy bag. Intended to be a temporary fix, it was made permanent. His parents work generic middle-class jobs, accountants or something generically middle class. He’ll likely not be going to the island.

Due to worries about Bradley possibly injuring himself or damaging his stoma (who he affectionately calls Helen), he tries not to exert himself too much, which has led to a bit of a sedentary lifestyle - although he’s making an effort to go to the gym and try and correct that. Other hobbies include baking, gaming and watching horror movies - being a member of the horror club, where he can shit on or defend the movies they watch. Generally spends a lot of time online, and has an online girlfriend who he’s been talking to for a few years.

Being a certified nerd, Bradley does pretty well in school - his favourite subject is History as he finds old stuff like that cool, but also likes science - he has a particular interest in volcanoes, which is why his stoma is named after Mount St. Helens, and he wants to work in that field in the future. Socially, Bradley keeps to himself. Outside of the horror club, some friends he’s picked up in group work and maybe just a couple of people he’s bumped into, he’s happy with his own company.

What am I looking for?

Friends - Bradley is not a very sociable guy, being an introvert and shy (he is a self insert after all) but he has picked up some friends and general acquaintances through horror club and group work. I dunno, maybe your kid just thinks he’s neat.

Whatever - This goes for everyone else, but generally if you have an idea just throw it at me. Bradley, for being a pseudo self-insert, is a bit fuzzy when it comes to relationships so I’m especially open for anything.
[+] Bradley relationships
Friends
Ray Janeczek - In Bradley's book, he's alright.
Yusup Almas - "I like to like things, but like, shitting on things is also really fun."

Acquaintances
Thomas Shaw - "Weirdly infantalising at times, but he's nice I guess?"

Louay Al-Dabbaq had a curious path to America. Born to a doctor and his wife in Syria, his family escaped Idlib during the peak of the Syrian Civil War, fleeing to a refugee camp in Turkey and then being resettled in Las Vegas, where they have made a new home for themselves while pining for what they have lost and handling the trauma of escaping a brutal civil war.

One of the things that helped Louay settle into America was football - back home, he was a fan of Real Madrid, and played soccer with the hopes of going pro. In America, he joined a peewee league under a faulty assumption of what ‘football’ was, but found he took to the role of a punter quite well. He now follows the Las Vegas Raiders in addition to Real Madrid, and his family go to games a couple of times a year. On Red Rock’s team, he plays the team’s punter and excels at this job, having broken several school records.

His family are Muslim, although the events of his life have left Louay privately questioning the existence of a higher power. A couple of times a month, he sees a therapist, a vestige of when they had just moved to America and Louay was struggling with trauma from what he had seen in the refugee camp and while fleeing Syria. It still occasionally pops up, but he makes an active effort to filter things that could trigger him out of his life.

In school, Louay is an average student, with no real favourite class. His friends group largely revolves around the Red Rock football team, the Raiders and Real Madrid, with these being the main three things he does, but he probably also plays Madden with people sometimes. With his punting skills, Louay hopes to make it to a college football team and has begun to create a highlights clip of his time punting. After discovering this skill, he has considered a career in video editing if things don’t work out in football.

What am I looking for?

Friends - Louay has a bunch of friends. He’s an excellent punter and has helped the team win a few games, so people probably like him if they care about the school’s football program. Outside of that, he’s friendly enough. If you like the Raiders he’s probably talked to you a couple of times.

Enemies
- Maybe you actually fucking hate the Raiders, in which case fair play. Maybe you’re mad about that one time he muffed a punt and it got returned for a touchdown. Maybe you just think football’s stupid. Either way, I welcome enemies. Go yell at him that he sucks

Crushes - I’m not sure if Louay is actually looking for anyone right now, but he’s a good football player and he’s good looking there are probably a couple of girls crushing on him
[+] Louay relationships
Crushes/Exes
Clarissa Shoemaker - Their brief relationship was fun, but Louay was kind of glad that it ended. He counts her as a friend either way.

Friends/Teammates
Chester Mullivan - "Good player, but from what I've heard..."
Koa Tagaloa - "Nice guy."
Lopaka Akana - "The only man apart from me who gets hyped when the punting unit comes out."

Yo

Off the top of my head, I suspect Michael and Johnny will know each other, both being members of the baseball team. Incidentally Johnny is also Jewish, albeit somewhat noncommittal about it, but it's not impossible that there's some connection stemming from this.

Koa will have likely met Ryumi during board game club, where she's maybe talked him into playing mahjong. It's not really his kind of game, but he's the kind of guy who'd be happy to give it a shot.

Similarly, Koa would know Louay from them both being on the football team, but unsure if they would hang out much outside of football related stuff.

HI LOVE I HOPE UR HAVING A WONDERFUL DAY!!! absolutely loveeee your kids to death, now i need to pick which fizzsters i use for them……pick….from the orchard….i’m so funny

Michael Goldstein

Ga-eul is also a runner, her being in cross country and all. Obviously, Michael’s already on a sports team, but hey….maybe the two of them could potentially go running every now and then? Ga-eul wouldn’t reach out to him on her own, so I don’t know where it would go from there. But, an idea!

Les hates the army, it’s one of his main principles. So, having someone else who’s opposed in some fashion may end up working in his favor. Not to mention, I think his parents would be shocked to see him hanging out with someone so anti-war and pro-peace.

Ryumi Nakanowatari

Lilliana met Ryumi when she tried board game club, and she ended up not staying around because she’s REALLY bad at like, every board game. Especially mahjong. I could see the two of them still having a connection of sorts, though. Karaoke is a sure fire way to bring her in.

Kiandra’s a lesbian and is willing to try anything! Maybe the two of them dated for a bit? I like to think they went on a blind date or something and just ended up being like “maybe not a relationship, but you’re cool!”

Bradley Hackett

Yusup actually really likes him. They’re both members of horror club, and he’s probably the only other member who’ll go out of his way to shit on movies if they’re bad enough. He’s also had to ask him for help with history classes multiple times.

Louay Al-Dabbaq

Lopaka loves any member of the football team, just because his circles are within that group. As a result, he really likes Louay- and I think the two of them would be great friends! He’s a big hype man of his, too. You’ll always see him cheering when the wrestling team doesn’t have matches.
HI LOVELY!
[+] MEET THE FIZZSTERS
Liliana Monroe
The hopeful girl who is just trying to find the right pathway.

Yusup Almas
The hothead who’s scared of falling behind.

Bak Ga-eul
The ex-homeschool who’s trying so hard to fit in.

Lopaka Akana
The wrestler who’s a ray of sunshine.

Kiandra Davis
The high fashion doll whose dream is to be a supermodel.

Celestino “Les” Koh
The hippee who is 100% high right now.

....oh girl you want more? okay now we're doing a bit too much....just go to THIS LINK and leave me alone AAHHH

Hello, I'm survival chances, and here are some of my ideas:

Bradley Hackett could be a good friend of Thomas Shaw as both are nerds and are a part of the horror club. Plus, Thomas has a younger sister with down syndrome and a few months pre-mature, and could want to help out Bradley as much as he could.

I could see Al-Dabbaq and Chester Mullivan being good friends as long as Al-Dabbaq knew Chester was trying to not have outbursts (outbursts being moments when he loses everything and tries to annihilate the cause of the outburst). Otherwise, they would still be acquaintances.

That's all I have and have a good day.

Chester Mullivan - The Kindhearted athlete
Kaede Miller - The Dramatic Theater kid
Samuel Burkholder - The Amish Criminal Guy

what do you mean this thing doesn't update itself, very rude!
[+] Fiori
Michael: Sounds good to me. Depending on what denomination Johnny is, they might have bumped into each other at synagogue on the rare occasions they went or just met while running, either works for me!

Ryumi: Also sounds good. Ryumi delights in introducing newcomers to the game because hey, more people, more fun but also she can just absolutely flex on them and demolish them. No holds barred smackdown

Louay: Also sounds good. Louay definitely gets involved with the team as best as he can even if he doesn't get that much playtime given his role, so they've definitely interacted.
[+] EarthBound
Michael: Maybe Ga-uel and Michael bump into each other during runs once or twice but I'm not really sure he'd reach out and make that connection so it's a regular thing. Just a sort of 'hey I saw you once' thing.

Michael probbaly hangs out with Les for the sole and only purpose of pissing off his dad. I'm not sure if he's anti-war necessarily, but adopting that position is a really good way to annoy his dad so hey ho!

Ryumi: Karaoke buddies karaoke buddies! Lilliana will have insert Taylor Swift song here I dunno the names belted at her and she will enjoy and love the experience

For Kiandra, that sounds fun. Maybe they got recommended to each other by mutual friends (depends on who else comes to this thread I guess), I think that's typically how blind dates go!

Bradley: Hating on stuff is the best thing to do with fiction! Unless it's something one of them likes in which case any criticism is biased and unfair. Either way, Bradley is willing to help him out with/maybe nerd out over history.

Louay: We love a special teams hypeman. Louay very much appreciates it given the relatively low-profile position he plays, and in turn probably shows up to the wrestling matches if he's not busy.
[+] Survival Chances

Bradley: Yeah, that tracks. Buddies/acquaintances from the horror club. I dunno if Bradley needs much help with stuff given he's the nerd emoji manifest, but he appreciates it anyway!

Louay: At bare minimum they're acquainted given they both play on the football team but I think that'd ultimately depend on what role Chester plays. I do think that if Louay knew about his outbursts he'd probably keep a wide berth.

As promised I appear to add more work to your list of SOTF stuff to do:
[+] .
Michael Goldstein:
- Clarissa was/is a known baseball boy simp, low key. That aside, aquaintances sounds about right. Chats during game downtime. She probably admires him from a distance given that he's a good noodle who does volunteer work for the community.

Ryumi Nakanowatari:
- You were interested in having an in with interacting with Mona and I'd say this is the closest I got to potential. Mona's a foodie and I can canonize that she thinks the Nakanowatari resto is one of her fave off-the-map spots. I also randomly canonized that Mona's good at chess (it counts as a board game!) and would generally be a board game enjoyer as a variety streamer, so maybe she's stayed after hours at the restaraunt a few times to play. Not like crazy close friends but Ryumi doesn't seem like the sort who'd care too much about Mona's reputation so they can at least be on okay terms.

Also Mona was an ex stage crew kid (costumer) before she was outed as a weirdo so they probably knew each other all the way back then.
- Besides that Priscilla needs karaoke friends so I can see her being on a a chill 'hey I'm down for karaoke just shoot me a call and I might answer' status with Ryumi. Not particularly close though. Maybe they dated like... once or twice. Supremely unserious sapphic moment.

Bradley Hackett
- Both he and Ray are in horror club and gamers so I can see them being not close intimate friends but friends regardless. On each others 'invite for multiplayer stuff' lists, etc.

Louay Al-Dabbaq
- Acquaintances with Clarissa. Since he went hard in the paint during his school career I'm sure he was like, the darling of the cheer team for a hot minute since he got the crowd super hyped. She probably simped/crushed for a bit and she might have asked him out for her typical 'two to three dates then call it quits' play. On you if he went for it or not.

Ryumi: Every girlboss needs a femcel, this is true. Ryumi's probably popular-adjacent so she's a little wary about Mona in general, but she's too kind to say no. Might have extended an invite to the board game club.

Bradley: Sounds good to me, not much else to add here.

Louay: He probably is a good enough punter to get the crowd hyped, huh. I'm game for them being exes/having casually dated for a while!
