I'm bringing in two characters for now(?), which I'm translating from their origins in other media!

Cassidy Kasta Amendola, 18, they/them (Orig: Kasta)

An orphan for as far back as they can remember, they grew up around other struggling kids and adults who they knew weren't really doing the best to accommodate the kids. In order to keep spirits high they became a bit of a rebel by stealing food to help the kids that were still hungry. This rebellion was something they kept up growing up, and even expanded on, going out and nabbing tapes of comedians and acrobats, watching them and emulating the performances for the other kids' entertainment. They carry around a blue Walkman, the first item they managed to steal from a store successfully, which has a single cassette tape in it that they personally spliced together, containing 30 of their personal favorite songs (Which you can listen to here). They're typically a bit of a tease but they avoid being overtly cruel (by their standards), but they tend to be a fairly sociable person who likes a group. They might offer some hot cocoa while doing a handstand to somebody having a bad day, they might ask what the deal about airplane food is, they might put something random in somebody else's pocket because it's funny. They like to use their time to have fun, and try to make that fun be to the benefit of those who have it rough and at the detriment of the nearest corporation or government.

Rozlyn Dolor, 19 (there's a reason), she/her (Orig: Rozlyn del Dolor)

Rozlyn grew up in suburban Texas and started out as a good student in her elementary and middle school days, but due to many of her classmates being less than stellar human beings, she slowly grew more and more antisocial, and the discovery of her sexuality in middle school stirring even more attention from peers caused her even greater stress and anger, more than her evening garage drum sessions could help her relieve. While her exceptional performance in class sports allowed her to get frequent petty payback, she felt nervous about seriously hurting someone. The last year of her middle school education piled on enough that it got to her and she ended up severely hurting somebody, and pulled away from her whole social life at once, graduation being followed with the news of her and her dad moving to Nevada felt like a blessing, even if complications ended up causing her to start at her new high school a year late (see, there's a reason). She's highly antisocial and has some violent tendencies, but she tries not to act on them, resorting to forceful threatening instead, but she'll still send a kick someone's way if she thinks they deserve it (often if a dude gets a little too flirty with her). If someone does manage to find themself able to, not necessarily breach, but sit comfortably on her walls and hang out with her, she does reveal herself to be a fairly nice and chill person, though guarded and still mildly abrasive.

Born as the son to a family of politicians with no father to speak of, Margo was unsure of herself growing up and found herself wanting to be a girl from a very early age. While her family was very right-wing politically from grandparents who are active Nevada representatives and her mother had aligned herself with them for many years, Margo's expressed desire to transition caused her mother to make a heel faced turn on her ideology in order to support her daughter. This allowed Margo to socially transition midway through elementary, and begin to medically transition midway through middle school. She'd always been a confident child and maintained this through middle school even with developing social anxiety. Her confidence and lack of aversion to stating her desires resulted in a few sexual encounters in her early high school years, including a longer term relationship with a football player her family once walked in on her with, creating some lasting awkward tension in the family. She's an avid nerd and looks the part, with thick glasses and an overbite that necessitates the need to wear braces, though her 6 foot stature creates some amusing dissonance. Despite her general awkwardness she is an incredibly capable social speaker, knowing how to navigate individual conversations as well as group conversations with a remarkable amount of grace, which is easily broken by a flirt being tossed her way. Her preferred method of handling insults and bigotry is to snark her assailant, or demonstrate some impressive knife skills she learned in her food class. She takes great pride in her body and is remarkably easy to fluster, though it takes a few hits to break through her ability to return the energy.
