Nothing major, mainly pickpocketing, carjacking, just stealing stuff. both for his family and for himself so he can afford tech. Gotcha gotcha. Ray and Clarissa would prob be a biiiit out of the loop but have heard enough to maintain their suspicions and push him away some despite remaining cordial. Unless he's just, like, been suspended for some shit or so. And yeah Ron would be an accomplice. Helped him lift some stuff and also lockpicked a car for him once upon a time (assuming staff lets it through). She also gets the 'I need cash' angle of being a petty criminal for sure, they have solidarity on that one.

Cicada's got two new characters, both of whom are memes created to low key troll other handlers (they know who they are). But also unironically will be played, at least within bounds of the fact that I can only bring 4 kids to island (one will be adopted off when V9 Island time is upon us). Check out Ingrid Ivy Briar, cheerleader (agenda), people watcher; and Bell Mathieu, girl's soccer striker, low key dumbass.

I'm going to be a little more fast and loose with relationship ideas here, more of a goal with these kids (and with my already relationship-ed roster) to not let my relations planner define things too heavily. Relationship ideas are totally welcome but I probably won't be as on point with keeping things updated. Probably. Old habits of religiously keeping this thing updated die hard, etc.

Ingrid would probably know Kaede Miller, since Ingrid is a professional dancer. Kaede also dances, just not at the same level.

Another person Kaede would know is Chester, just how well I don't know.

Bell Mathieu could know Thomas, as Thomas also likes to debate, just not enough to join the debate team (although that is a possibility). Also, I completely forgot about this when it came to the thread of The Good Old Days and what would that mean four years later? Maybe they would still be friends, but I'll leave that up to you.

I also think Bell would know Chester, and maybe be pals.

Back for another round with my new girl, Josie:

* Mona Marroquin: Josie is of two minds with Mona. She pities what's happened to her life ever since the incident with Manuel, how she's fallen further into the doomer mindset and how cynicism and social media have warped her mind. On the other hand, Josie cannot let what she did to Manuel go unchecked. At the end of the day, abuse is still abuse and Josie isn't going to put up with it. In a way, Josie sees a bit of herself in Mona, at least, who she could've been had she never found true outlets for herself. She's thought about trying to help Mona, but admits that there are better people for the job.

* Clarissa Shoemaker: I mean...I'll pitch Josie having an unrequited crush on Clarissa? You don't have to go for it but it's something at least. Otherwise, I don't think Josie and Clarissa interact too much outside of cheerleading?

* Ingrid Blair: Josie thinks Ingrid is cool, a bit superficial but nothing too bad. They've probably listened to R&B together at some point!

* Bambi Soledad: Damn, if only she was in cheerleading cause then that would be my crush pick for Josie. I guess it doesn't really matter, the cheerleaders are probably there for most sports anyway. I feel like Josie would secretly adore her from the comfort of her bedroom, and tolerate her enough to not be annoyed by her constant chatter during games and whatnot. Honestly, keep her in consideration for crushes for the time being. It'll be a few days at least before I commit to one true crush option.

Mmmkay, we are live and in the business of responding to this thread with some regularity (maybe like once a month LOL) again. First off! My finalized 6-man roster (Cicada says for the dozenth time this pregame), featuring two new dorks who will die alone on an island far away probably:

Bambi Soledad! Friendly, awkward, most ADHD ever with a complete inability to follow her own train of thought most of the time. Rambly, prone to saying stupid things or fully zoning out in the middle of conversations, but really sweet and optimistic. She's on varsity tennis and goes to competitions albeit as the team's most mediocre member of the eleven, and is also a member of the chess club where she's actually pretty fucking good. Loves writing, BookTok (to what extent this is ironic or not is unclear), and K-pop. Gay as the day is long but has managed to shove herself into a closet inside a closet inside a closet and actively persues relationships with men.

Arielle Grimes! The twin sister of Lynx Grimes (who is, inevitably, a low key terrible person), run by Fenris. Well known and one of the girl's basketball starters. Works hard on her sports, her academics, and her home life, leaving her little time to actually socialize. She's not socially incompetent or anything but she's fairly serious minded and can be difficult to get more than a few words out of if she's not in the mood to talk, which is often. When she is in the mood for fun she loves karaoke dates with friends. Strongly religious and weakly Republican, albeit hypocritically so given her openly having dated women and being socially liberal. Currently has a boyfriend (who is, inevitably, a highest key ever terrible person).

Ivy and Kaede would probably at least know each other through the general sportsball grape vine. Ivy isn't on the dance team and while they're both artists Ivy is strictly about visual arts and not in Kaede's realm as far as I can tell. Ivy would also be weary of the whole 'easily cuts people off' thing, she'd probably file Kaede under 'questionable'. So they'd be amicable but I can't imagine them as friends.

Ivy and Chester I can see being somewhat more friendly. Ivy would respect the effort put into social glowing up (she did similar as a child) and she wouldn't hold the sophomore incident against him. Too much. I can't see them talking much outside of when she's cheer sidelines at football matches but they'd at least be friendly in that context. I was gonna throw her into his memory thread when she's accepted, actually, so we'll see how things go there.

Yep, Clarissa would love Minecraft friends so I went ahead and put Thomas down as a friend. Dunno how regularly they would play together or if they'd have a shared Survival world or something, but she'd be down to clown every now and then.

No particular vibes for my new kids, mmmmmm. Arielle and Sam have a bunch of commonalities. She hangs with Beel's crew through her brothher from time to time and is on okay terms with them. They both have somewhat odd relationships with their faith due to Circumstances so there might be kinship and comraderie there to some extent. Probably not much. Since they're both the severe distant sort there's only so much they can bond over their commonalities.

Chance Bambi might be part of Kaede's writing project. Or an ex-member. Since Bambi has very little verbal filter she easily could have offended Kaede and been kicked out at some point. Worth a thought, shrug.

Mmmm, no on Mona having a social connection to Josie. Josie is allowed to have Opinions on Mona, of course, but I can't see Mona having ever been particularly acquainted with her in the past save vaguely as a 'friend' prior to Mona's falling out of school society.

Clarissa doesn't really read people that well so Josie's temperament would probably confuse Clarissa, trigger her conflict avoidant tendencies, and naturally distance them even within the context of being fellow cheerleaders. They'd like each other but not be especially close except for the common trust and comraderie most cheerleaders develop because they're throwing each other around and need to not hurt each other on accident.

Ivy and Josie reads about right to me. Ivy would be pretty good at dancing (figuratively) around annoying Josie in any sense, she be socially adroit like that, but Ivy wouldn't be keen on getting too much closer than generic cheer comrades. Chilling with the bluetooth speaker playing some Timbaland and Ciara on the sideline while cheer has downtime sounds like a fair way they passed the time small talking (note Clarissa is also an RnB/hip hop head so she'd be part of that too. She and Ivy go way back, actually).

Like we've discussed before, Bambi could be Josie's #1 crush, I'm down for it. Bambi's way of communicating can probably be frustrating, but since they both have issues with expressing themselves it actually might be a common point of connection, especially since Bambi is difficult to turn away so Josie might be more capable of expressing her annoyances and having the occasional outburst without driving Bambi off. The cute shoulder to cry on type friendship, or the sort. If they get close enough they've got the common theme of writing to bond over as well. The trope of literate, articulate souls who can't translate it to real life the best. There's def an angle there. But again, your call on if you want to go for it or not! At the very least, pending your final call, I'm sure they can be good intimate friends who have opened up to each other.

For Arielle nothing jumps out at me for any of your kids, at least off the top.

Between the two I could see Bambi catching a something for Sylvie. A feelings? Perhaps at the very least a crush she isn't consciously aware of. Further complexifying Claudeball is always my vibe (it is lowkey why Bambi was conceived in the first place until I made her into a full ass character) with there being at least a one-sided spark from one of the Claude enjoyer girls at another one of them.

Because Sylvie is the most obvious ever I am Sure a lot of sportsball kids outside of the cheer and baseball ecosystem are somewhat aware of the Sylvie longing and I could see Bambi knowing as well and seeing Sylvie as a rival in a friendly way. And of course actually wanting Sylvie and not Claude, low key af. Now I dunno what Sylvie's vibe would be in turn, Bambi is a bit much but its in a kind and sweet way so Sylvie might appreciate in limited doses? Bambi also has that soft romantic writer energy Sylvie, as squishy and hiding her power levels cute and romantic in outlook herself, might resonate with. Sylvie trying to take Claude related notes from Bambi's relationship experience and natural romance obsession. Again, ironically. Also they both got fashion/thrift as interest and both serve looks, so shopping dates, etc.

I do have this vague vibe that Bambi borrowed one of Sylvie's law textbooks she wasn't using at the time, front-to-backed it in a week and absorbed a lot but has forgotten most of it and was unable to articulate her interest in a meaningful way so she failed to really impress, LOL. So like, tl dr. Probably decent friends if not the closest, and an at least one-sided sapphic crush.

For Raya, hm thinking emoji. Probably less so Bambi's vibe. I think she'd be more attracted to artistic and intellectual sorts that have more of a soft edge, and I imagine her family prefers a local business run by Hispanic folk and thus mostly dodges the Clarissa-Raya car extended universe.

Arielle and Manuel makes sense to me yeah. Manuel's dorky 'hey have fun' vibe probably mostly bounces off Arielle's armor but he might crack a smile or two every now and then and he'd probably call that enough of a W to keep challenging her to 1:1s whenever she's avail. Arielle isn't quite on Manuel's skill level since he is atheletics scholarship bound and she is not so it's prob unlikely she ever wins games against him, but she does not get salty and keeps grinding and doing her best whenever he invites her out for some hooping and he probably likes that never give up energy, I imagine.

Also was Manuel not in Beel's gang or at least affiliated as a douchebag delinquent-coded? Arielle's also got ins with that crowd through her delinquent brother so Manuel and Arielle strike me as having the commonality of both being periphery of that whole mess.

unfortunately Hunter is also in the anime club, i am very sorry about this, hes not there that often it could be worse! actually kind of curious how much of a train wreck this is bc hunter sucks, this is known, but he does appreciate Gay Shit™ and Ray isn't immediately annoying in a way that would set off Hunter's "I'm going to be the worst man on the planet" instincts. so not saying they'd be close or anything but it's possible Ray doesn't actively hate him?? gonna leave that on you i will allow anyone to hate hunter for any reason

actually, this is sort of a "questionable how they would have met" sort of thing, but i feel like him and Trent would get on? he's a weird band dude and he's down for weird philosophical rambling even though he will be the first to tell you he is dumb of ass and it Is terminal.

Clarissa - does she work with bikes? bc if she does I super want to see her and Lynx interact; they're a dumbass and cannot be trusted with repairing their baby themselves and while they're gonna be super nice and chill to her they're inherently kind of intimidating + a known beelsquad™ member (probably) so theres inherent tension that lynx probably doesnt notice bc their brain doesnt work

Ivy - no way they have any actual relationship but it's probably evident thru art classes or w/e that Hunter is genuinely extremely skilled in that sphere so she might have vaguely formed an opinion on him (the opinion is probably "wow its a shame that he fucking sucks so bad" except classier)

Bambi - you know Ezra is The Babiest of all sportsball boys and if Bambi talks to him once and decides they are friends he is not going to say anything to the contrary about it! Probably does not have super strong feelings about her or anything outside of thinking she seems nice and all, she can have more feelings if she wants to!

- We've discussed Ray and Hunter's vibes at legnth. Definitely went places with that one...
- Ray likes checking out the music of local bands and projects. Since he interfaces with enough local music projects as a fan they'd probably have run into each other and exchanged some thoughts and vibes. Probably not too close as friends though.

- Yep, Clarissa and Raya could work on Lynx's wheels! Clarissa also having a terrible sense of Fashion probably means she thinks Lynx is the most stylish Ever in all of history. And he'd find her easy to make laugh. I'm sure she'd like him, and she has brain Dissonance with a lot of Beel's squad versus Beel herself so provided he's not literally one of the ones helping Beel rag on Clarissa (as if she needs help) she'd probably have no isses withh him whatsoever! Casual aquaintance level is what I see here.

- Ivy would respect Hunter solely on the grounds that he was good. His personality would be irrelevant to her, she'd just admire his talent from a distance if she couldn't deal with the ego, but I think she's capable enough of dealing with narcissistic monsters to get, like, occasionally useful conversation out of him. He probably doesn't interact with her much anyways, save maybe occasionally trying to showboat to prove he's the superior artist (she's the better artist but she'll happily throw out something mid so he doesn't whine).

- Bambi and Ezra seem okay as aware of each other and vaguely pleasant Vibes. I can imagine dealing with her -20 speechcraft might give Ezra a bit of a headache though. She's the sort of person where she can manage to get into an argument with herself on accident when her brain train goes Far off the rails, so she might confuse him and stress him out just inherently. That seems to be the vibe to me.
